An Empirical Study On The Influencing Factors Model Of Information Acquisition For Farmers In Shanxi Province

Against the backdrop of the national documents on urban-rural integration,researchers have found that obstacles in the process of information acquisition in rural areas are one of the reasons for the urban-rural gap.Therefore,this paper adopts the method of Grounded theory,selects some villages whose economic level basically conforms to the overall development of villages in Shanxi Province as the survey sites,tries to understand the current situation of farmers’ group information access,analyzes the influencing factors of farmers’ group information access,and puts forward some practical solutions based on the local actual situation to help farmers obtain information.From October 2022 to January 2023,researchers conducted on-site visits to 16 villages in Yangquan City,Shanxi Province,using methods such as on-site interviews,questionnaire surveys,and observation.After in-depth understanding of the current situation and influencing factors of information acquisition among local farmers,they discovered some "stumbling blocks" that exist in rural areas and affect their access to information.Then,they used coding to summarize these influencing factors to some extent,The high-frequency influencing factors were retained,and according to the Wilson Information Behavior Model,there are interference variables when people obtain information.The retained factors were incorporated into the interference variables to construct an information acquisition influencing factor model;Then,a large amount of data was collected through the agricultural questionnaire survey method,and the collected results were analyzed by SPSS,retaining the influential factors with a greater degree of influence,and the model was modified and corrected.Finally,13 main influencing factors were identified through data analysis.Research has shown that the factors of farmers themselves,information sources,environment,and religious politics have all had a certain impact on their information acquisition.Based on these influencing factors,corresponding solutions have been proposed in three aspects: farmers themselves,social environment,and government perspectives,which are beneficial for farmers’ information acquisition.
