With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards and the awakening of public health awareness due to the impact of the pandemic,people are gradually realizing the importance of active fitness.The in-depth promotion of the "Internet + Fitness" model has also made fitness and exercise become part of people’s daily lives.Fitness apps have experienced explosive growth in recent years,but they have also exposed issues that urgently need to be addressed,such as severe product homogeneity and lack of user stickiness.In the future era of experience,having a good user experience will be the key to the market competition for fitness apps.The advent of the experience economy has made user experience a popular term in recent years in the development of society,economy,and culture both domestically and internationally.Many industries are closely focused on how to enhance the user experience of their products,aiming to provide more value to the products.However,few people have a complete understanding and clear perception of user experience.In the field of internet fitness,fitness methods have become more diverse,and users are more concerned about whether they can obtain a complete physical and even psychological personalized experience.This article takes the user fitness experience during the use of fitness apps as the research object and entry point to explore the common factors in the complete user fitness experience process.It aims to construct a theoretical model that can guide the user experience design of fitness apps and transform design strategies,helping designers and users understand the meaning of user experience.This article first conducts a literature review and interviews with experts to summarize the research status and characteristics of fitness app products,as well as the current research status of user experience.Next,combining previous research on the essence and content of experiences,the fitness experience is regarded as a process of choice and meaning creation by the experiencer under the guidance of specific fitness goals and emotional drives.Subsequently,a large amount of user experience textual data is collected through questionnaire surveys,indepth interviews,and focus groups.Content analysis is used to classify and code the data,extracting several influencing factors of fitness app user experience.Preliminary induction and analysis are conducted,which are of reference value for understanding the complete fitness experience.Then,based on this,a new round of questionnaire collection and factor analysis is conducted using the Likert scale,and the factors are discussed and named based on the literature research.A fitness app user experience element model is constructed,including four primary elements: functional conditions,self-creation,emotional motivation,and self-fulfillment,as well as several secondary elements.The paper discusses the experience elements based on the literature and elucidates the relationship between user experience elements and experience,as well as the relationships among the four elements.Six fitness app user experience design strategies are derived.Finally,the validity and applicability of the user experience element model are verified through a design workshop.The workshop includes several parts: theoretical introduction,model application,design suggestions,and model discussion.Existing fitness apps are evaluated,and effective improvement design suggestions are proposed.The theoretical model is reflected upon and summarized based on feedback.
