Optical fiber is the main way of mass information transmission in modern communication.With the extensive application of optical fiber,optical fiber faults are also increasing,and the communication interruption caused by optical fiber faults will lead to significant losses.Maintenance personnel can locate the fault location and deal with it after the fault occurs.In this thesis,multi-channel optical fiber online monitoring technology is studied to monitor the health status of optical fiber in real time and realize early warning of optical failure.After the fault occurs,the fault is found and alarmed in real time,and the fault location and type are given to improve the efficiency of troubleshooting.Based on the principle of OTDR detection,ZYNQ is used as the main control chip to study the real-time online monitoring technology of multi-channel optical fiber.The main control board is developed,which makes full use of the FPGA and ARM resources in the chip,realizes the control of the detection signal and the processing of the reflected signal,improves the detection efficiency while ensuring the detection distance and accuracy,and realizes the external interaction function.The OTDR board is developed to realize the emission of the detection signal and the online acquisition of the reflected signal.The optical switch board is developed to realize the gating of multiple optical fibers,and then realize the monitoring of multiple optical fibers.Based on the circuit research results,the research work is carried out on ZYNQ ’s FPGA and ARM respectively.The logic interface of optical signal transmitter,receiver and optical switch is studied in FPGA to realize the generation of detection signal,the reception of reflection signal and the gating of multi-channel optical fiber.According to the characteristics of FPGA for parallel computing,the preprocessing of 125 MHz acquisition signal is implemented in FPGA to reduce the processing load of ARM and improve the computational efficiency.The cutting configuration technology of PetaLinux operating system and DMA technology are studied in ARM.The data after FPGA preprocessing is obtained,and the event information of optical fiber is calculated.The Gigabit network interface is implemented based on ARM to receive external control instructions and output monitoring results and OTDR test curves.Based on the above research,the equipment was developed and a large number of experiments were carried out.The test shows that the detection accuracy of the equipment is2 m,and the detection range of the equipment can reach 125 km.Different from the traditional OTDR equipment,this thesis adopts the method of online monitoring to realize the early warning of optical failure.Real-time monitoring of fault location and type is realized,and the disposal efficiency after optical fiber fault is improved.The device can access 32 optical fibers,which reduces the comprehensive cost.The research results of this thesis have good application value.
