Abstract/Summary:
Based on semi-structured interviews, participatory observation data collection methods and Grounded theory text analysis methods, this paper explores the basic picture, formation process, influencing factors and demand satisfaction of multi social media "swing" use behavior of Generation Z young users, and analyzes the relationship between people and technology from the micro level of user behavior.Research has found that in the information age where media resources are readily available, social media is gradually embedding into people’s daily lives in response to the wave of mobile internet.Users connect individual social platforms, view them as a comprehensive media environment for comparison and selection, and place social relationships through platform sharing to achieve the purpose of distinguishing "audiences",sharing content, and self-expression.This combination of usage is convenient for users to maintain and operate social relationships in the real environment while retaining the network’s "private domain".First of all,the article analyzes the causes of Generation Z users building social relations with the help of social platforms. With the breakthrough of social media technology,Generation Z’s desire to break away from role expectations, gain understanding and recognition, and show a perfect image has become increasingly strong, which has greatly promoted the process of social media while contacting the network technology. In order to objectively and comprehensively describe the phenomenon of "swing" usage, the author combined the characteristics of the respondents, based on the differences in shared content and friend distribution,as well as whether to accept the three benchmarks of friends entering a new social field in reality, divided users into three types: "linkage type","adjustment type",and "difference type".And with the help of metaphors expressed by the respondents, the user’s social media imagination was explored.By "rebuilding" the wall, users were able to regain their freedom in a network space with diverse functions and environments.Secondly, from a diachronic perspective, the article explores the historical origins of people’s "swaying" and migration, attempting to re endow the process of migration and transformation with fluidity through the comparison of functional advantages and disadvantages, and conduct a more distant and profound tracing.Focusing on the research framework established by the analysis results of Grounded theory, this paper elaborates on the motivation of users to use media and the leading, regulating and promoting effects of platform functions, relationship circles, and space-time resources on "swing" behavior. And combined with specific usage behaviors,it explores the path through which users complete the distribution of social relationships and shared content on the platform, achieving information connection, technical connection, emotional connection, and value connection. Finally, based on the research findings, the article focuses on the collision between humans and technology, focusing on the negative impact of "swaying" behavior on users themselves, attempting to provide reference for social media to deeply understand user usage behavior and provide suggestions for users.
