| As an authoritative and core news product of traditional media,in-depth reporting has always been of great concern to academia and the industry.However,with the development of new media technology,the traditional reading style of audiences has changed,and traditional media is declining,and in-depth reporting is facing survival difficulties such as department being cut,page being reduced and talent loss.The effective strategy to break through the current survival dilemma of in-depth reporting in the era of convergence media is to keep the righteousness and innovation.This paper takes the in-depth reporting of The Beijing News as the object of study because it has always taken in-depth reporting as its core competitiveness for nearly 20 years since its establishment,and has been moving with the times and following the trend.In view of the changes in the 2019 edition of The Beijing News,the case study of this paper selects the "Deep Reading" section of The Beijing News.The case study selected 563 in-depth reports from July 1,2019 to June 30,2022 as the sample.The sample was selected from 563 in-depth reports in the "Deep Reading" section of The Beijing News from July 1,2019 to June 30,2022.The study examines the basic characteristics of in-depth reporting in The Beijing News in the era of convergence media,and further explores the concepts and paths of its righteousness and innovation through case studies.The study found that the in-depth reporting of The Beijing News in the era of convergence media always adheres to the professional advantages of in-depth reporting in paper media,retains the mission sentiment as a mainstream media,and practices the social responsibility of media;adheres to the professional operation concept of in-depth reporting,maintains the high news quality of revealing the truth;and uses professional storytelling techniques to expand the communication effect of in-depth reporting.On the basis of adhering to the core value of in-depth reporting,the in-depth reporting of The Beijing News has changed its mode of thinking in response to the impact brought by new media technology,taking users as the center and actively approaching user groups;innovating various presentation methods to realize multi-dimensional interaction of the whole media;adjusting its communication strategy,insisting on mobile priority,carrying out mobile,social and matrix communication,seizing the position of online public opinion,and expanding the survival space of in-depth reporting.The survival space of in-depth reports is expanded.The in-depth reporting of The Beijing News has provided useful reference for the development of in-depth reporting in other media by innovating in the midst of righteousness and keeping righteousness in the midst of innovation. |
