Abstract/Summary:
The Internet mobile social networking is affecting every aspect of People’s Daily life, not only affecting people’s material life, but also affecting the friendship, love, affection between people and the establishment and communication mode.As a generation developed with the Internet,Generation Z is well versed in the use of various smart hardware devices such as mobile phones, computers and smartwatches, and can quickly get familiar with various emerging Internet social platforms.Anonymous social networking is a common way for them to make friends.Along with the Internet’s reconstruction of "virtual" and "real",people’s social needs become diversified, and the social relations established by strangers with the help of social media platforms is one of the ways to present such diversified requirements.Stranger socializing has the characteristics of anonymity,de-role-interaction and de-personalization,which satisfies the needs of users to vent their emotions and seek identification, thus attracting a large number of young users.Anonymous social communication through the Internet is a social communication behavior carried out with the other party through the carrier of the Internet without knowing the real social identity of the other party. At present, there are numerous anonymous social platforms in China, but Generation Z shows a special love for anonymous social platforms such as Soul.Their love for Momo, the anonymous social platform with the largest number of users in China, has been declining. Therefore,Momo has been evaluated by the media as facing a "midlife crisis".This paper takes Momo,Soul and its users, two major anonymous social platforms in China,as research objects, and comprehensively uses three research methods, literature research,in-depth interview and network ethnography,to explore the reasons for Generation Z users’ migration phenomenon after using anonymous social platforms. The study found that due to the differences in the basic function, use experience, ecological culture and physical participation of the anonymous social platform,Generation Z tend to use the anonymous social platform represented by Soul and abandon the semi-anonymous social platform represented by Momo.Generation Z is eager to ease the pressure of anonymity and find peers with the same interests as them, but they also want to avoid overexposing their information and satisfy their need for light social contact.According to the research conclusion, optimization suggestions are put forward for the green development of the platform, the protection of the physical and mental health of Generation Z,and the function operation of the platform. It is expected that while constantly shaping the healthy ecology of the platform and improving the function richness, the personal and psychological safety of Generation Z when they conduct anonymous social networking on the Internet is protected. The platform should take the initiative to abandon pornographic content,do not condone the appearance of illegal dating due to the temporary income brought by pornographic dating, and protect the safety of Generation Z who lacks social experience in the process of using the Internet. At the same time,it is necessary to have a deep insight into the psychological needs of Generation Z,and optimize the functions of the platform not focusing on quantity, but on quality,to strengthen the direction of spiritual social communication. In the process of user management,it is necessary to go deep into the real usage scenarios of users, grasp the platform culture spontaneously formed by users, and man-machine coordination to strengthen ecological maintenance. Finally, the author points out the shortcomings of this study in the selection of interviewees and their own abilities, and also points out the future research prospects in the breadth of platforms and other aspects.
