The performance measurement and traffic measurement of the network are an important part of the basic behavior measurement of the Internet. The measurement results can help network managers to implement more efficient and accurate network management. It is the hot spot of research in related fields, and there are some classic indicators and algorithms. With the completion of the allocation of IPv4 addresses,IPv6,as a new generation of Internet, represents the future development trend of the Internet.Under different address mechanisms, how to complete the measurement of the classical indicators of network performance and traffic measurement is the focus of this paper. This paper selects packet loss and round-trip delay as performance measurement indicators, and access superpoints as traffic measurement indicators. They are the most classic and basic measurement indicators in related fields. The measurement of these specific indicators in actual IPv6 networks is studied.schemes, based on which a large amount of measurement data was obtained. The main contributions of the paper are as follows:(1)The measurement of IP performance and traffic is inseparable from the cooperation of the hash algorithm in group flow, address storage, etc. This paper analyzes all IPv6 addresses at the border network, and finds and proposes a highly versatile IPv6 address how the hash algorithm is generated.Using this generation method,a displacement XOR-based hash algorithm XORIPv6 is improved.Compared with the existing hash algorithm,it is found that the improved algorithm greatly reduces the collision rate while taking into account the operating efficiency.(2)For the packet loss measurement, this paper improves a packet loss measurement method, which named Lan-18 packet loss algorithm.Accuracy have improved. Then the method is deployed at the network boundary of an IPv6 campus network, and the packet loss rate between the IPv4 network and the IPv6 network is compared. The experiment shows that the packet loss rate of the IPv6 network is much smaller than that of the IPv4 network. At the same time, the peers are classified according to the IPv6 addresses of different regions, indicating that the packet loss rate sent to foreign regions is much greater than that of domestic ones. The actual measurement shows that the improved algorithm has good feasibility.(3)For the round-trip delay measurement, this paper improves a round-trip delay measurement method based on autocorrelation.Compared with the standard answer,it is found that the relative error of the round-trip delay of the improved method is larger than that of the classical method.improvement.At present, this method has been applied to the network boundary of an IPV6 campus network to continuously monitor the round-trip delay changes of different paths. It can be seen from the measurement results that this method has a good measurement effect.(4)For the measurement of access superpoints, the advantages and disadvantages of the SRLA access superpoint algorithm are comprehensively analyzed. In view of the shortcomings that this algorithm cannot be applied to the IPv6 environment, the XORIPv6 hash algorithm is combined with the SRLA access superpoint algorithm.Improved SRLAv6 access superpoint detection algorithm.Compared with the statistical super-point information, the SRLAv6 method achieves a low false negative rate and a low false positive rate while ensuring real-time performance.By deploying the method at the network boundary of the campus network for actual measurement,it is found that the appearance of the access super-point has a certain time correlation. Finally, according to the timefrequency property of visiting super-points,the visiting super-points are briefly classified. The measurement results also demonstrate the feasibility of the improved SRLAv6 access superpoint.
