A Narrative Study On Slow Variety "Hello Life"

Slow variety show is a new form of program compared to competitive reality shows that pursue intense excitement and emphasize the mobilization of the senses,which is more healing and the rhythm is smoother from the content point of view.At the end of 2019,the slow variety show "Hello Life" jointly produced by CCTV Variety Channel and CCTV Network took youth life sharing as the main line,focusing on hot topics that young people are generally concerned about,sharing their own life experiences and insights in the process of inviting guests to complete different tasks,answering questions and triggering thinking.The show has been widely praised since its broadcast,and has gained a good reputation and topic discussion.This paper takes the variety show "Hello Life" as the research object,starts from narrative theory,mainly adopts text analysis method and case study method,takes 36 episodes of programs as samples,analyzes from the two levels of content and form,and summarizes the narrative method of "Hello Life".The full text is divided into four chapters,which respectively give the background of China’s slow variety show,the overview of the "Hello Life" program,and the detailed analysis of "Hello Life" from the narrative content and narrative form,and finally draw enlightenment.The first chapter specifically discusses the background of the slow variety show,which is based on the country’s policy guidance,the psychological needs of the audience and the real context of the influence of foreign TV variety shows,"Hello Life" has been adjusted in the theme,content,form and value orientation.The second chapter analyzes from the perspective of narrative content,and summarizes and summarizes the narrative themes,narrative sections and narrative characters of the program through the overall grasp and micro analysis of the program text.After analysis,it is found that the theme of the program is close to life,focusing on highlighting humanistic life,embodying diverse emotions and transmitting traditional culture;In terms of plot arrangement,the exciting and dramatic contradictions and conflicts in previous reality show variety shows were weakened,and suspense was still used,but it was downplayed to the extent;The characters and guest roles are diverse,each with different functions,which enriches the plot of the program and adds more highlights.Chapter 3 revolves around narrative form.As far as the narrative perspective is concerned,the image of "slow life" is constructed through the combination of external focus,the combination of internal and external focus,and the flexible use of post-editing.In the arrangement of narrative time,it mainly follows the basic logic of natural life,and at the same time adopts artistic techniques to reorganize the story time,which not only restores real life but also highlights the theme of the program;As a place for shaping "slow life",the narrative space pays attention to the freehand and realistic picture processing techniques in the selection of scenes,and the lens space emphasizes color contrast and dynamic and static contrast;In terms of narrative language,it pays attention to the dual shaping of "slow" vision and hearing,and also adds parody elements to make the content of the program more interesting.Chapter 4 summarizes the narrative innovation of "Hello Life" through the analysis of the narrative content and narrative form of the previous program,that is,in the concept of slowness,content precipitation is caused by cultural output;At a slow pace,dilute contradictions,follow the logic of time and events,and guide the audience to think;In the slow experience,through the immersive experience of the guests,the emotional resonance of the audience is stimulated.Finally,from the narrative experience of the show,three enlightenments for the same type of slow variety shows in China are summarized: first,we must dig deep into traditional culture and improve the original ability of the program,secondly,we must enrich the connotation of the story of the program and stimulate the emotional resonance of the audience,and finally,we can promote social welfare activities by adopting the combination of stars and elements.
