Tibetan astronomy and calendar science is a rose treasure in the treasure house of traditional calendar science,which has a history of more than two thousand years.It has a long history,rich literature and its own system.It has played an important role in the production and social life of the Tibetan people for thousands of years.In history,there had been a large number of astronomy and calendar mathematicians,which greatly promoted and developed the astronomy and calendar science,and gradually formed a variety of calendar schools such as the Poole school,the Shaur School and the Gandan School of New calculation.This paper mainly discusses the Gandan New Arithmetic school,which Sumba Kampo Yishi Banjue started in the 18 th century with two works,"The Essence of Calculating Mind Should be Revealed All Over the Mirror" and "The Essence of Calculating Mind Should be Revealed All Over the Mirror".This school not only has a certain scientific nature,Moreover,it enjoys a lofty and immortal status in the international Tibetan circle and the history of Tibetan astronomy and calendar calculation because of its extensive content,long length,clear chronology and unique algorithm.In addition to the preface and the conclusion,this paper is divided into five parts.The first part mainly discusses the brief history,ancestral origin and birthplace of the author Sumba Kampo Yishi Ban Kyo,the social and historical background of the 18 th century,and expounds some personal views in this respect.The second part discusses in detail the reasons why Tibetan astronomy and calendar science developed in a flying fashion during the period of Gandan Pazhang,as well as the main contents,unique characteristics and influences of the Gandan Xinzhan treatiseon.The third part mainly discusses the content,characteristics and scope of application of the almanac compiled by Gandan new calculation School.The fourth part discusses the similarities and differences between the different versions and translations of Gandan Xinzhan collected by myself,and makes a detailed introduction in the form of a table.The fifth part mainly discusses the literature value of "Gandan Xinzhan" and how to use scientific methods to protect and inherit the literature put forward their own opinions.
