Underwater acoustic sensor network is an important means of sensing and detecting marine environmental information. The underwater information sensed by multiple sensor nodes in the network can realize the interaction and transmission of information between nodes, and upload the obtained information to the monitoring center for analysis. So as to realize the perception and detection of targets in specific water.Because of the narrow bandwidth of underwater acoustic channel, the channel capacity is low.Meanwhile, the environmental information perceived by the nodes often needs to be associated with its location information. Therefore, the combination of communication and localization in underwater acoustic sensor network becomes a research hotspot in recent years.Compressed sensing(CS)theory is a low sampling rate method that compresses and samples simultaneously. In this paper,CS theory is applied to the research of communication and localization in underwater acoustic sensor network by using the sparsity of source nodes and the sparsity of spatial distribution of sound source nodes.Combining with the characteristics of underwater acoustic channel, the scheme in this paper provides a new idea for the integrated design of communication and navigation of underwater acoustic sensor network in the future. The main contents and innovations of this paper are summarized as follows:(1)In order to improve the channel capacity of underwater acoustic sensor network,a multi-node communication scheme based on CS is proposed.Due to the sparsity of the source nodes in the network, the simultaneous transmission of data from multiple source nodes can be equivalent to the measurement process in CS.Theoretical analysis proves that the transmission characteristics of multi-node concurrent transmission process satisfy the Restricted Isometry Property(RIP)requirement of CS measurement matrix. The destination node uses the Basis Pursuit(BP)reconstruction algorithm to recover the data of multiple concurrent sensor source nodes. In addition to theoretical analysis, simulation experiments based on Bellhop are carried out to prove the feasibility of the scheme.Compared with the traditional communication methods, this scheme can effectively improve the channel capacity.(2)In order to obtain the location of sensing information node,a localization scheme CS-RSSRL(CS-based Received Signal Strength Ratio Location)is proposed.Depend on the distribution of source nodes in underwater acoustic sensor network is sparse, based on the relationship between the RSS and signal transmission distance,a CS measurement matrix satisfying RIP is constructed. The location computation center uses the BP reconstruction algorithm and the location solution algorithm, which can obtain the location of the sound source node.In addition to theoretical analysis, simulation experiments based on Bellhop and experiments in the lake are carried out to prove the feasibility of the location scheme.Compared with the least square(LS)location scheme based on the received signal strength ratio, the location error of the proposed scheme is smaller.
