| Because of its intuitiveness and vividness,video has become an indispensable source of information in people’s lives.In the development process of video technology,various video interfaces also emerge in endlessly.The SDI interface is a video interface used in the professional video field.Compared with the commonly used video interface,such as HDMI interfaces and DP interfaces,this interface has the advantages of long transmission distance,low transmission cost,and high transmission stability.It can support up to 4K@60Hz video data transmission under the latest 12G-SDI standard.While the SDI interface has such excellent performance,there are also some problems.The most notable problem is that the application field of the interface is relatively narrow.Most of the daily equipment,such as display screens and computers do not have SDI interfaces.A system that solves its compatibility problems while taking advantage of the SDI interface has a positive effect on the development of the video field.In response to the needs of a company’s actual project,this paper designs a highspeed SDI video verification platform based on FPGA,which aims to realize the format conversion between SDI interface and various video input and output interfaces,the integration and separation of audio and video data,and long-distance transmission of ultra-high-definition video.The system can transmit up to 4K@60Hz video,24 bitresolution audio,and the video transmission distance can reach 70 m.The system is independently developed and designed.In terms of hardware design,40 pages of schematic diagrams and 14-layer PCB printed circuit boards have been completed.There are 1596 devices and 4038 signal connections on the board.The system has numerous high-speed signal lines,with a maximum transmission rate of11.88 Gbps.The hardware design process is based on the high-speed digital system design theory,and the signal integrity,power integrity and electromagnetic compatibility of the system are ensured through theoretical calculation and simulation.The Hardware logic and software design is based on the hardware platform,and the hardware logic based on Verilog HDL realizes the driving of various video interfaces,interfaces access detection,priority sorting of input and output,transmission of 4K@60Hz video data,integration and separation of audio and video data and video format conversion.The software code based on C language realizes the control of the output voltage of the power supply,the control of the power-on sequence,the control of the clock generator and the storage and reading of the video data.To sum up,the FPGA-based high-speed SDI video verification platform described in this paper includes hardware design and software verification,and realizes longdistance transmission of 4K@60Hz video data,the transmission distance can reach 70 m,and supports SDI and common interfaces such as HDMI interface and MIPI interface,and so on.It can also integrate and separate audio data and video data.While taking advantage of the stable interface,long transmission distance and low cost of SDI interface,this system also solves the problem of its narrow application and incompatibility with commonly used equipment.It has applicable value. |
