In the digital age,museum digital display application is an important content of museum informatization.However,many museums are faced with problems such as poor functional experience of digital display application and substandard user experience expectation,resulting in low downloads and usage of application.At present,most museum digital display applications ignore the emotional needs of users,resulting in lack of emotional experience.Therefore,this paper takes the museum digital display application as the research object,takes the young generation Z as the research target group,and uses PAD emotion model to explore the emotional experience design strategy of museum digital display application.Therefore,through emotional experience design,we can attract Generation Z users to use the museum digital display application,and get a pleasant,exciting and relaxed exhibition experience.Firstly,this paper conducts in-depth research and analysis on the development status of digital display application and emotional design theory in museums at home and abroad,and makes clear the content and significance of design research.Secondly,start from the research object itself the concept,media form,exhibition type and typical cases of museum digital display application are analyzed.Combined with the theoretical research on PAD emotion model,the current situation and deficiencies of museum digital display application in the field of user emotional experience are sorted out,and the value significance of emotional design for museum digital display application is proposed.Then,according to the theory of user experience elements,the user experience elements are extracted from the expression,framework,structure,scope and strategy layer of the digital display application in the museum.Based on this,the design and research methods such as questionnaire survey,user interview and observation method are selected and combined with the user role model and user experience map.This paper refines and analyzes the emotional experience elements of the museum digital display application with Generation Z as the target group.Then,combined with PAD emotion model,the influence of emotional experience elements such as color,text,picture,motion effect and layout on joy(P),activation(A)and dominance(D)was analyzed through eye movement experiment and PAD emotion scale.Three museum digital display application interfaces and two game activity interfaces were selected for eye movement experiment.Based on this,an emotional experience design strategy is proposed to improve the pleasure of experience through the construction of a younger design language,increase user activation through active interaction between userexhibits and applications,reduce cognitive load and increase user dominance.Finally,through the design practice of "Ceramic anthropomorphic AR mini program",the proposed emotion design strategy is applied and verified,and the full text of the research ideas are reviewed and the limitations of the research are reflected.
