Collaborative Digital Museum And Display Technology Research

The Digital Museum can be visited anywhere at anytime, so it is the trend of museum development. How can we rich and extend the museum functions, such as collection, research, education, exhibition, is the main problem in digital museum research. Based on current condition in digital museum research, the paper present a new interactive digital museum model and its implement architecture, and a integrating platform which combines CSCW and exhibition technology under this model and its implement architecture is also given. The integrating platform is designed for topic construction, and the key technologies of this platform includes the data integrating model, the integrating framework, the dynamic collection integrating, personalized exhibition, synchronized cooperation and asynchronized cooperation and their seamless integrating, and so on. In the end, an application system of this integrating platform which is named Liangzhu Digital Museum is designed and implemented. The detailed contents of the paper are as follows:Firstly, the background, goals and main contributions of the paper are described. In chapter 2, the basic concepts and current research on digital museum are introduced, then the CSCW and exhibition technologies in digital museum are described, analysised, and summarized. Then in the 3rd chapter, the paper presents a new digital museum model PCMDM and its implementation architecture, and the map from model to implementation architecture. In the following chapter, an integrating platform which integrates CSCW and exhibition technology based on the PCMDM is presented, and introduces the platform's architecture and key technologies. In chapter 5 and chapter 6 it introduces the CSCW and exhibition technology which integrated in integrating platform, and the key technologies such as dynamic collection integrating , personalized exhibition, synchronize cooperation and asynchronized cooperation and their seamless integration are given. In chapter 7, an application system of this integration platform which is named Liangzhu Digital Museum project is described. In the end, the work of the paper is summarized, and the future work is described.
