Narrative Research Of The Comedy Variety Show Super Sketch Show

Through the development of China’s long-standing comedy tradition and the development of two veins,from exotica to localized,domestic comedy is gradually developing into a kind of composite program,breaking through the original program format.From the introduction and imitation of foreign comedy formats to innovative program content and planning,these programs are now not only good at leveraging the resources of professional actors and crossover stars,but are also able to boost their development through broadcast platforms and production companies.The 2021 comedy variety show Super Sketch Show,which was selected as one of the top ten national IPs of 2021 after its broadcast on IQIYI,not only differs from the planning and design of traditional comedy shows,but also has unique narrative features.This paper analyzes the narrative subject,narrative content and narrative discourse of Jiang Long and Zhang Chi’s "Four Parts of Chasing Dreams" and Wang Hao and Shi Ce’s "Six Parts of Love" in the program,in an attempt to find the innovations and highlights of the narratives of the works.The theoretical framework of narratology and television narratology reveals that the narrative content of the program has distinctive characters,and the core events and interpolations are flexibly combined on the basis of separate stories,and the themes are diversified and popular and can look at society.In terms of narrative subjects,the program attaches great importance to the selection of actors,dares to choose high-quality newcomers,and grasps the quality of the program through high-quality narrative subjects.In terms of narrative discourse,the program’s creators designed the narrative perspective,narrative voice,and narrative picture to enhance the audiovisual experience of the audience while helping the narrative expression.Finally,by summarizing the program’s strengths and weaknesses,we propose a direction in which comedy variety shows can be developed in the future.
