In the era of media convergence,the production and circulation of television significance not only lies in the television program itself,but also forms a cross-media social text production mode.This paper studies the intergenerational interaction as well as the production and circulation of the meaning of the three-level TV text of the intergenerational reality show under the theoretical framework of John Fiske's "television culture",and then presents the process of intergenerational social relations.This study uses narrative analysis,discourse analysis,in-depth interview and other research methods to analyze the narrative characteristics of the texts of intergenerational reality shows,the reports and comments of various media on such programs,and the audience's interpretation and users comments on Douban.This study finds that there is an interactive relationship between the three levels of TV texts of the intergenerational reality show,which produces and circulates textual meaning by virtue of intertextuality.The primary text provides the interpretation basis for the secondary and tertiary texts and tries to control the flow of meaning.The secondary text activates,interprets the meaning of the primary texts and guides the interpretation of the tertiary texts.The tertiary texts contribute to the construction of meaning and affect the primary texts in return In the process of text meaning circulation,it has completed the transformation from individual family narration to public narration,presenting vivid and diverse social intergenerational relations.The innovation and significance of this research are as follows:First,this paper makes an in-depth investigation on the process of meaningful production and circulation of TV texts,and provides empirical evidence supporting John Fiske's theory of "TV culture".Second,from the perspective of cultural research,it discusses the social intergenerational issues.That is,how the popular culture of reality shows presents the social intergenerational relations.Thirdly,the social participation and public expression in the process of reality show creation and communication are considered in order to provide references for the industry. |
