| Since the outbreak of the financial crisis in the United States in 2008,all countries have suffered different degrees of negative impact on foreign trade. The downward pressure on the global economy is high, and the market demand continues to sag, with an overall weak trend. At the same time the cost of labor and environmental costs in China are rising and the industrial structure is in urgent need of transformation and upgrading. The primary issue at hand is to find a breakthrough and new opportunities to escape from the plight of foreign trade. With the rapid development of Internet technology, digital technology and the economy are deeply and effectively integrated, and the scale of digital trade has expanded dramatically, which is regarded as a new engine and new driving force for high-quality economic development. As an emerging field, there is still much room for exploration in the academia on the application of foreign trade industry combined with big data.To this end,it is of great practical importance to delve into the theoretical basis of big data and import and export trade, combine the data platform with the specific application of foreign trade in practice, and summarise the development trend and challenges faced by China’s foreign trade in the context of big data.Based on the classical international trade theory, this paper summarizes the inherent relationship between big data technology and foreign trade.Combining the current application environment and application of big data technology,it discusses the influence mechanism of big data on China’s foreign trade from three aspects: the source of motivation, technical reasons and application support,so as to put forward the conclusion that the application of big data technology can promote import and export trade.Through a comprehensive summary and analysis of the characteristics and trends of the current development of China’s foreign trade,it is argued that the combination of the digital economy and the real economy has a broad development space and good development prospects, thus influencing the development mode of China’s import and export industry.Based on the obstructive factors faced by Chinese enterprises in applying big data platforms and the problems related to the development of the big data industry, the following policy recommendations are put forward at the national level and at the level of the enterprises themselves, respectively,to strengthen the top-level strategic layout, improve the infrastructural support facilities, increase the research and development of digital technology,as well as to promote the enterprises’ own technological innovation, improve the digitisation of the management model and the continuous upgrading of the elements. |
