In recent years, the rapid development of technologies such as 5G,cloud sharing, and algorithms has comprehensively improved people’s online living standards. Many internet companies, based on the main direction of "traffic as the king",adopt algorithm recommendation technology combined with various content distribution methods to create corresponding convenience for users. At the same time,it has also led to and strengthened the phenomenon of information cocoons, isolating users from the outside world’s rich information and limiting their own development. Therefore, breaking the negative impact of the information cocoon phenomenon and connecting users to obtain and disseminate information is an important issue that urgently needs to be addressed in the content dissemination aspect of the internet industry. To solve the above problems, this paper takes the phenomenon of information cocoon room in the "Tiktok" short video platform as the research object. From the perspective of users’ "selective contact" with content, and from the perspective of audience, this paper analyzes the inevitable reasons for the phenomenon of information cocoon room caused by the application of algorithm recommendation mechanism.By studying the various elements in the closed-loop cycle of "user demand algorithm recommendation information cocoon room",we explore measures to reduce the negative effects caused by the phenomenon of information cocoon room from the perspective of audience exposure to information. This article adopts an empirical survey research method, designs a survey questionnaire, and studies the "perception level of information cocoon houses","behavior towards" recommended "content automatically distributed by the platform",and "attitude towards the phenomenon of information cocoon houses" with the platform audience as the survey object.Based on audience theory, empirical analysis is conducted on the above three dimensions. This article is divided into four parts to discuss the manifestations, causes, impacts, and measures to intervene in negative impacts of the information cocoon phenomenon in social network platforms. The main manifestations of information cocoons in short video platforms are as follows: narrowing of user knowledge content, decreased platform content quality, and frequent occurrence of network group events. From the perspective of the audience, its causes can be divided into two aspects: the active choice behavior of the audience and the passive feedback behavior of the audience. From the perspective of the platform,it can be divided into two aspects: unequal dissemination rights and fundamental technical support provided by algorithms. The phenomenon of "information cocoon room" has brought a huge impact on individuals and society. On the positive side, algorithm technology can improve the convenience of individual information acquisition, encourage individuals to participate in content creation, and accelerate the efficiency of social communication through computing communication and providing information push.On the negative side, the phenomenon of "information cocoon room" trapped individuals in the echo chamber of opinions, hindered the overall development of individual thinking, and promoted social Group polarization. For the above adverse effects, this article proposes three levels of suggestions: strengthening regulatory efforts with the government as the main body, opening up publicity links, enhancing credibility with enterprises as the main body, creating professional and high-quality communication platforms, strengthening information recognition and "cocoon breaking" abilities with the audience as the main body, and enhancing the content cultivation of public creative works.
