With the arrival of the aging era of China’s social population,the aging problem of smart products has become increasingly prominent,especially during the COVID-19 outbreak,exposing the confusion caused by mobile phone code scanning service to elderly users.In order to solve the aging problem of current intelligent products,the government has issued a number of rules and regulations,which to some extent promotes the process of aging interface design and transformation.From the perspective of market development,O2O and other online and offline integrated marketing methods have become the mainstream operation mode of the catering industry.The efficient,convenient and economical characteristics of scanning code to order food make this operation mode more and more popular,but for the elderly users,this simple operation is somewhat difficult.The survey shows that there are two reasons for the discomfort:on the one hand,the current smartphone interface design does not well adapt to the cognitive and behavioral needs of elderly users,resulting in the mismatch between interface design and the cognitive ability of elderly users;On the other hand,in the design practice,there is a lack of design guidance and care that clearly points to the research of elderly users,which makes elderly users feel confused when they operate smart phones.Based on the information processing theory of cognitive psychology,this paper analyzes the cognitive characteristics and demands of elderly users using mobile devices and takes the design of mobile phone interface for in-store ordering as an example,establishes a cognitive demand model for elderly users in the scene of in-store ordering on mobile devices,and puts forward the design principles of mobile phone interface for elderly users.The validity and rationality of the design scheme are verified through design practice and evaluation.The main research contents include the following aspects:first,it analyzes the current social problems such as the difficulty for elderly users to order food using mobile smart phones and the current situation of aging adaptive interface of mobile phones,and puts forward the theoretical value and practical significance of applying information processing theory to the aging adaptive interface design of smart phones.Second,the overview and development of information processing theory are described,and the four-step research framework of receptor,processor,memory and reactor is extracted.Combined with the analysis of cognitive behavior and needs of elderly users,the cognitive needs model of elderly users is constructed.Three,this paper expounds the theory of information processing in intelligent products optimal aging of the mobile phone interface,constitute the four elements of cognitive process,lists the interface of mobile phone interface interaction,interface design elements such as layout,the visual and hierarchical structure information is analyzed,digging older users in the process of interface design cognitive perception,attention,memory and reaction layer.Fourth,according to the characteristics of cognitive information processing of elderly users in the mobile ordering scene,the user research on ordering interface design is carried out.Using compound parallel prototype observation,user interviews,and questionnaire investigation method to explore the older users of mobile phone in the process of cognitive information processing order cognitive characteristics of the interface,through the elderly users and youth in the interface layout,color,the cognitive preference difference on the information architecture,puts forward the older users to store order interface design principles.Fifth,combined with user demand analysis,design practice.Taking the aging design of the hot pot restaurant to restaurant ordering interface as an example,the design is carried out from the aspects of information architecture,interface layout,interaction prototype,visual design and so on,and the aging design scheme of the mobile phone interface is proposed.The usability questionnaire was designed by likert five-level scale and the design scheme was evaluated to verify the usability of the design principles and strategies.Based on the social emotional care for the elderly users,this paper analyzes the cognitive needs,use behavior and application scenarios of the elderly users,and puts forward an age-appropriate design scheme based on information processing theory,which provides reference for the design and transformation of the age-appropriate interface of smart phones.
