Narrative Research On Workplace Observation Program

In recent years,the development of observation programs featuring "first scene recording +second scene observation" has shown a spurt,extending from love themes to intergenerational communication,marriage relationships and many other fields,becoming a new trend in variety shows while falling into the dilemma of homogenization of narrative themes.The combination of observation programs and workplace themes has given birth to a new program format of workplace observation programs,which brings workplace survival to the screen and is loved by viewers,and quickly occupies a place in the market of observation programs,becoming a successful attempt to break the game of observation programs.This paper takes the first two seasons of the widely acclaimed legal workplace observation program "Exciting Offer" as a case study,and uses the textual analysis method to interpret the meaning behind the program from four aspects: theme,characters,plot and discourse narrative,summarize the narrative characteristics of the workplace observation program,and analyze the shortcomings of this type of program in terms of narrative,in order to provide reference for similar TV programs.The study found that the narrative characteristics of the programThe study finds that "Exciting Offer" creates a realistic workplace ecological environment for viewers through difficult job content and strict explicit rules,and uses the arrangement of topics and discussions to reproduce the workplace survival scenario on the screen,while interspersing the popularization of professional legal knowledge,finally presenting the dual narrative themes of job hunting and legal affairs.Through flattening,rounding and equalizing the characters,the program has successfully shaped a new group of "post-95" workplace with different styles and brought a new workplace style.At the same time,the program "Exciting Offer" takes the process of subject assessment as the core event,and the more secondary events arising from the practice process as the subordinate events,by giving the plot more complex emotions and outlook,plus the conflict and suspense to complete the fascinating plot narrative.In addition,in terms of discourse,the program makes comprehensive use of multiple interlocking narrative time and space,flexible multiple narrative perspectives,compound narrative structure and colorful narrative language to maximize the program narrative,in order to deepen the core of the program workplace.However,the program still has the problems of insufficient representation of narrative perspective,homogenization of narrative content and value bias of narrative plot,which can be improved by focusing on the general workplace,strengthening the innovation of narrative content and deepening the connotation of workplace.
