Automobile industry plays an important leading role in many industries of national industrialization.The development level of automobile industry can reflect the degree and level of industrialization of a country.On communications electronics,big data,and the rapid progress and development of artificial intelligence technology,human travel way diversification,however,environmental pollution and energy crisis of the threat to human sustainable development,the safe driving and traffic system development needs of reality,many enterprises and institutions started into autonomous research and development work,focusing on the exploration of various kinds of advanced products and technologies.Patents are a basic form of displaying scientific research and innovation achievements,which involve numerous technical,market and legal information in various fields.Based on a comprehensive summary and analysis of patent documents,combing and analyzing the actual situation of the industry or enterprise’s technology research and development strength,direction,focus,market strategy,etc.,it is possible to fully integrate and rationally use information,increase innovation,improve sustainable development capabilities,and form own core competitive advantage.In addition,traditional economic theories cannot explain the source of industrial competitiveness,and the theory of competitive advantage must be used to explain the problem of industrial competitiveness;at the same time,by analyzing the patent information of the autopilot industry at home and abroad,it is possible to develop patents for my country’s auto industry and autopilot industry.The formulation of countermeasures provides an important reference basis.This paper firstly introduces the writing background and research significance,and then organizes and analyzes the domestic and foreign research literature,expounds the research content and the research method adopted.In addition,this paper discusses the related theory of autonomous driving patent analysis and the theory of industrial competitive advantage,which lays out a theoretical foundation for the research of this paper.Secondly,this paper analyzes the status quo of patent development in the autonomous driving industry,and analyzes the status quo of patent development in my country from the aspects of patent application,patent application ranking,and regional distribution analysis of patent applications.Thirdly,this paper builds a measurement model of industrial competitive advantage based on patent information,uses scale indicators,quality indicators,value indicators and cooperation indicators to construct a competitive advantage measurement model for the autonomous driving industry.The inferior solution distance method)measures the model.In terms of the industrial competitive advantage index,the industrial competitive advantage index of my country’s autonomous driving showed a trend of first rising and then falling,reaching a peak in 2015,and then fluctuating and declining;The index has developed rapidly.Finally,this paper analyzes the competitive advantages of my country’s autonomous driving industry,and conducts vertical and horizontal comparative analysis in different regions.According to the empirical research results,this paper provides targeted suggestions and countermeasures for enhancing the competitive advantage of the autonomous driving industry.Provinces with less patent output,such as Yunnan Province,actively promote the innovation of the masses,and also encourage enterprises to innovate;for provinces with a large number of patents but low patent quality,such as Jiangsu Province,a comprehensive self-examination should be carried out to reduce the cost of examination and approval.Strengthen industry-university-research cooperation to increase the rate of patent authorization;for backward regions,such as Guizhou,Yunnan,Jiangxi and other provinces,we should focus on increasing the amount and intensity of R&D investment,give full play to the advantages of R&D,and promote industrial development.
