The H Media Startup Company is a cultural media startup founded four years ago.Its main business covers film and TV production,brand promotion and new media services,and investment and operation of outdoor media and urban outdoor LED color screens.Despite hardships at the startup stage,the H Media Startup Company developed rapidly.However,based on its volume of business and financial conditions in the third and fourth years,we can find that the H Media Startup Company was confronted with a series of problems,such as a saturated market and difficulties in expanding into new markets.For example,in the face of expiring government subsidy policies and reducing preferential policies for startups,the H Media Startup Company still hasn’t achieved ideal net earnings;because of a high threshold for developing new business,the H Media Startup Company isn’t competitive.The entrepreneurial network is an important way and platform for the H Media Startup Company to pool resources and solve various problems at the startup stage.Because of their limited inherent resources,low market share and psychological dependence in facing problems,startups want to build their own entrepreneurial network more.Firstly,the thesis sorted studies related to the entrepreneurial network and its influence on corporate growth performance,and built a theoretical model reflecting the influence of the entrepreneurial network(government/business/internal relations)on corporate growth performance.Then,the thesis analyzed the status quo and problems of the H Media Startup Company in terms of growth performance by field investigation,assessment of indicators,quantitative evaluation,questionnaires and comparison with models.Moreover,the thesis conducted quantitative evaluation and diagnosis of main reasons for the slowly improving growth performance of H Media Startup Company from the perspective of the entrepreneurial network by utilizing the theoretical model built for reflecting the influence of the entrepreneurial network on corporate growth performance.Finally,from the perspective of the entrepreneurial network,the thesis gave targeted suggestions on improving the growth performance of H Media Startup Company.The survey shows that the H Media Startup Company is weaker in developing relations with governments,is inferior to other companies of the same trade in terms of commercial dependence and continuity and has a rigid internal structure and employees lacking motivations.These factors are the main reason for the slowly improving growth performance of the H Media Startup Company.The thesis suggests that the H Media Startup Company improves its growth performance by taking specific measures,such as stabilizing commercial alliances,building a good relationship with governments and optimizing internal relations.All suggestions given by the thesis from the perspective of the entrepreneurial network have been adopted and put into practice by the H Media Startup Company,and produced a good effect.To some extent the thesis provides similar startups with an analytical framework and measures for improving growth performance of startups from the perspective of the entrepreneurial network.
