With the penetration and popularization of mobile Internet technology and the increasing demand for entertainment by the public,short-video platforms have transformed from the original entertainment service to a content ecosystem that includes various forms of symbiosis,such as delivery of goods and content payment.After the outbreak period,the short-video content production industry has gradually entered a new stage of survival of the fittest.At the same time,as the intelligent recommendation technology in the platform matures,the competition for content creators based on commercial transformation is becoming increasingly fierce.How to survive the strict algorithm constraints and brutal business competition is the most direct problem facing content creators.Based on the above background,this research is based on in-depth interviews with 20 creators who are engaged in the commercial transformation of content creation on the Douyin platform to reveal the production practice of content creators’ anti-domestication intelligent recommendation algorithm.In the analysis stage,the mediation experience and its impact brought by human-computer communication are re-examined from the perspective of content creators by integrating algorithm affordance theory and domestication theory.The study found that: since it is impossible to directly intervene in the intelligent recommendation algorithm at the algorithm level,the feedback of content consumers on video works is a necessary medium for the content creators to anti-domesticate the intelligent recommendation algorithm;Different types of content creators in application scenarios show different anti-domestication paths for intelligent recommendation algorithms,and the various stages of domestication theory are nonlinear in different anti-domestication scenarios;different from past media domestication,content creators’ anti-domestication of recommendation algorithms is a dynamic game in which two parties interact.
