With the increasing development of aerospace technology,spaceborne exchange has become the trend of the development of the satellite communication system.The design and implementation of space exchange network system faces serious challenges.The new design of high-performance switches imminent.Ethernet technology is mature and flexible,it has become a ground LAN mainstream technology,but also a wide range of applications in the field of space.ATM switching technology is connection-oriented,its reliability is far superior to the Ethernet switch.So ATM switches are very suitable for carrying the satellite transmission of critical data.To combined laboratory responsible for the project-"Qos guaranteed hybrid circuit and packet switched networks",this thesis proposed to adopt the technology.This technology is a new type of exchange network networking solutions,which combined The program Gigabit switched Ethernet and ATM technologies.And to meet the space systems increasing traffic demand,as well as taking into account the future scalability needs,this thesis uses a type based MSM(Memory-Space-Memory),which is 32 × 32 the three Clos(8,8,8),network switch fabric as the main framework of the switch.First,the thesis briefly describes three typical single-stage switch fabric,and briefly compare and analyze various exchange network structure.Then combined laboratories responsible project topics three clos design the overall structure of the cell switches,and levels of switching unit to make an outline of design.Then part of the input processing module in the input stage switching network switching unit and transponder control module,and queue management module detailed design and concrete realization.Finally,use FPGA simulation tools Modelsim,timing simulation of the key modules of the input stage switching unit,through simulation results verify the correct design,feasibility and rationality to achieve the expected goals.
