The report of the 20 th Party Congress emphasizes the the need to fully implement the Party’s education policy,to carry out the basic task of creating moral education,to raise socialist builders and successors who are morally,intellectually,physically,socially and aesthetically well developed,and to accelerate the construction of a high-quality education system,which provides a fundamental guideline for the ideological and political education of universities.At present,the world is in the midst of a major change unprecedented in a century,and the complex situation has put forward higher requirements on the quality and effectiveness of ideological and political education for college students.To obtain development under this situation,a large number of researches on the combination of positive psychology and college students’ ideological and political education have appeared.Based on this reality,this study focuses on the practical path of integrating positive psychological qualities into the ideological and political education of college students,and investigates the current situation related to the integration by taking teachers and students of some colleges and universities in Kunming as the subjects,in order to provide reference for enhancing the effectiveness of college students’ ideological and political education and promoting their overall development.The integration of positive psychological qualities into the ideological and political education of university students needs to cover both theoretical and practical aspects in order to be scientific and complete.In terms of theory,this study,based on the analysis of relevant studies by scholars,has sorted out four important concepts: positive psychological quality,positive psychological quality of college students,ideological and political education psychology and mental health education.By analysing the connotation and value of positive psychological qualities,the study clarifies the logical basis for integrating positive psychological qualities into the ideological and political education of university students.Afterwards,this study summarises the functions of integrating positive mental qualities into the ideological and political education of college students,namely: enhancing the sense of access to ideological and political education;manifesting the personalisation of ideological and political education;enhancing the affinity of ideological and political education;and improving the aesthetics of ideological and political education.Ultimately,these four functions together point to enhancing the effectiveness and relevance of ideological and political education for university students.In practice,this study conducted a survey on college students in some colleges and universities in Kunming.The survey results show that most college students have an understanding of the concept of positive psychological qualities and believe that positive psychological qualities have a positive impact,and colleges and universities have also introduced college students to positive psychological qualities through courses and activities.However,due to the influence of the "culture of mourning",the low motivation of students to integrate and the lack of attention to integration by educators,there are still problems with the general state of positive psychological qualities among students,the lack of optimism in the attitude of students towards integration and the lack of rapport of educators.On the basis of the survey,this study summarizes the practical path of integrating positive psychological quality into the ideological and political education of college students,namely,the practical premise:integrating into the process of forming college students’ ideological and moral quality,the practical basis: integrating into the process of studying college students’ ideological and political education,the practical grasp: integrating into the process of receiving college students’ ideological and political education,and the practical guarantee: integrating into the process of optimizing college students’ ideological and political education environment.
