Positive psychology is a new research field in recent years. It focuses on excellent specialties such as quality, mind and potential; promotes the positive belief, opens a new perspective to interpret the psychological phenomenon and even psychological problems. So as to inspire their inherent positive experiences and positive qualities for positive force, etc. With its content system, the traditional thinking patterns of psychological attention and problems correction have been changed, strengthening the positive experience, cultivating positive personality and effective ways and means, and constructing active organizing system. Positive psychology provides new ideas in the ideological and political education research for post--90 college students.Post--90 college students is main bodies in current university campus. They are the backbone of our country, the successors of our society and bearing the hopes of their families. The successes of ideological and political education have very close relationship with personal development as well as our national and social progresses in the future. As post--90 college students are a special group, the problems and disadvantages in ideological and political education’s may become more and more obvious as time being. Their special characteristics and group differences challenge our ideological and political education. From the perspective of positive and constructive, combining with the effective external environment, basing on the students’ individualities, caring for their minds and strengthening their emotions and wills, positive psychology cultivates the students’ internal factors and strengthens their advantages, helping students form positive personality. These will make our ideological and political education both internalization and externalization effectively expanding the concept of our ideological and political educations as well as enriching the theories of education research system and providing a new education method to enhance the pertinence and actual effect of ideological and political education for post--90 college students.
