The shift to a student experience acquisition-centered view of the language curriculum has determined the prominence of the comprehensive and practical features of language curriculum teaching.The function of setting up language self-reading classes is to strengthen students’ independent language practice activities and develop language reading ability and comprehensive literacy in the process of task implementation and problem exploration.The current problems in the learning objectives,content gradient and assessment of self-reading lessons are directly related to teachers’ one-sided understanding of the connotation and function of self-reading lessons.It has an important impact on the accumulation of students’ language experience,their grasp of the laws of language use,the improvement of their language skills,the formation of language habits and the comprehensive development of emotions,attitudes and values.Through the development of self-reading courses,we clarify the basic connotation of autonomy and practice in self-reading courses,determine the autonomy,practice,transferability and developmental practice orientation of self-reading courses,and clarify that the core learning tasks of self-reading courses are the effective transfer of learning methods and the independent advancement of learning ability based on the number and content characteristics of self-reading texts in high school language textbooks.On the basis of classroom observation,we summarize the current problems of self-reading class practice,attribute the problems,design the self-reading class learning program from three aspects: setting up pre-reading activities before class,building scaffolds and setting up group texts during class,and constructing a multi-dimensional dynamic evaluation system after class,presenting examples of self-reading class learning task practice,and providing feasible ideas and case references for the design of self-reading class learning activities.
