The development of autonomy is the key factor of children’s real development.Autonomy should be centralized on protection and cultivation.By creating a certain activity area for children,they can independently choose the activity theme,materials and partners,actively engage in the story and music performance through interacting with the environment,materials and peers.By this way they can achieve comprehensive physical and mental development.So,only understanding the current situation of kindergarten activities area can we really improve the quality of autonomous development.Therefore,this study uses literature method,observation method,interview method and action research method to carry out research,which takes the children in a chain private garden in Hohhot City as the research object.Based on quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,this study explores the development status of the autonomy of kindergarten children in the performance area activities,and diagnoses problems and makes attribution,so as to propose effective improvement strategies.This study is mainly divided into the following parts:First part comes to the introduction,which mainly illustrates the reasons for the topic selection,core concepts,literature review,research purpose,research significance,research methods and ideas,as well as the key and difficult points of the research.The following part investigates the development status of autonomy of kindergarten children in activity area.It turns out that: in terms of autonomous choice and planning,children’s autonomy choice is restricted and their ability to negotiate and distribute is relatively weak;In terms of independent problem-solving ability,children are highly dependent on others to handle conflict,with few opportunities for independent problem solving and problem solving is patterned.In terms of autonomous control,ignoring performance rules,passive arrangement of the activity venue;In terms of independent creation and editing,the thinking is solidified,the ability of creation and editing is low,the experience is lacking,and the quality of innovation is low.The reasons are as follows: teachers’ concept is biased;Lack of teacher guidance ability;Environment creation,low quality of material delivery;Evaluation system is out of balance.The third part is the implementation of four-round action research.In the whole process,researchers strictly follow the steps of action research and adjust the practice according to the actual situation.The first stage is the plan generation stage;In the second stage,implement the activity plan right after group members have no ambiguity on the research value.The third stage is the stage of improvement,reflecting and adjusting the results of the previous stage.The fourth stage is the upgrading stage.Next,the conclusion part.This part carries on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the former action research results,and finds that kindergarten children acts more proactively than usual when they are engaged in the performance area activities.It is also obvious that they enhanced independence in problem solving,multi-dimensional divergent thinking;increased autonomy of regulation and control,and took the initiative to tidy up the site;The creativity is enhanced,and the experience of writing and editing is constantly improved.Finally,supplement and reflect on the whole action research.The last part is about the education suggestion part,aiming to bring up the effective suggestions which could promote the kindergarten children’s autonomous development in the performance area activities.Firstly,the kindergarten should dive deep in the value of the performance area,causing attention to the autonomy development of kindergarten children;Secondly,teachers should establish a scientific concept system to promote the return of autonomy of kindergarten children.Third,improve teachers’ observation and guidance ability to provide effective support for the independent development of children;Next,create a free-minded and open environment for cross-regional material usage;Moreover,establish a mutual evaluation system for specific aspects;Last,enrich the teaching experience,strengthen the interaction between children and teachers.
