With the development of economy and society,the cause of socialism in China has entered a new era.It has become a basic responsibility of education to train innovative talents suitable for comprehensive development and lifelong learning.Quality education emphasizes the cultivation of the builders and successors of the socialist cause with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,the United States and labor,and the core literacy emerges at the right moment.Each discipline summarizes the core literacy of the discipline according to the nature of the discipline.The Curriculum Standards of Biology in ordinary high School emphasizes that the development of the core literacy of Chinese students is the embodiment and refinement of the Party’s educational policy.The core literacy should be taken as the design purpose and the basic requirement in the implementation of biology curriculum."Question Discussion" column is located at the beginning of each section of textbooks,which is a good resource for creating question situations and a good material for cultivating middle school students’ core literacy.Therefore,the flexible application of "problem discussion" column in teaching activities is conducive to the realization of the core literacy of biology.In this study,the concept of core literacy,teaching materials and problem discussion column is defined by literature research method.By consulting relevant literature,the research status at home and abroad of core literacy and problem discussion column is sorted out,so as to clarify the value and significance of this study.Then,the content analysis method is adopted to sort out and analyze the characteristics of question discussion in the 2019 teaching textbooks,and the columns of question discussion are classified into production and life,history of science,scientific experiments,social hot spots,model construction,natural life and scientific research achievements according to the source of the column content.This paper also divides the discussion questions in the question discussion column into progressive questions,questions about finding evidence,questions about finding intersection flow,questions about explanation,questions about exploring and verifying,questions about questioning and contradictions.By means of investigation and research,questionnaires and interviews were conducted on some teachers and students in Tianjin to analyze the current teaching status and influencing factors of the core literacy penetration of question discussion columns.It is found that teachers and students in Tianjin have a high degree of recognition of the value of the problem discussion column,but teachers do not penetrate the core quality in the column teaching and have a single way to deal with the column.Finally,according to the results of the survey,the author analyzes the reasons and puts forward six teaching strategies:(1)update the teachers’ educational philosophy;(2)Make full use of students’ existing knowledge and experience;(3)Flexible use of column teaching;(4)Give full play to students’ problem awareness and cultivate scientific thinking;(5)Students fully participate in teaching,hands-on operation,cultivate practical ability;(6)Enrich teaching design methods and methods,improve students’ enthusiasm,and design relevant teaching cases,so as to provide reference for the question discussion column to better penetrate the core quality.
