Scientific thinking is a key thinking ability for students to have a good understanding and correct treatment of scientific phenomena and scientific problems,and a key factor to evaluate the level of high school biology teaching.The 2017 edition of biology curriculum standard for senior high school(referred to as the standard)clearly defines scientific thinking as the key ability that students need to acquire through the study of biology in senior high school.The column of "thinking and discussion" in the high school biology textbook of PEP is an important teaching resource to cultivate students' scientific thinking.This study,carries out the content analysis of "thinking and discussion" column based on scientific thinking,and constructs a teaching mode matching with the type of "thinking and discussion" teaching content.The teaching practice of "thinking and discussion"column based on the fifth chapter of "energy supply and utilization of cells" is carried out in the classroom.Firstly,the concept of scientific thinking is defined by literature research method,and the background knowledge and research status at home and abroad of "thinking and discussion" column are analyzed to clarify the value and significance of this study.Secondly,the content analysis method is used to integrate and summarize the content and value of "thinking and discussion" column in compulsory 1 and compulsory 2 of pep.According to the training requirements of each teaching module in the standard and the teaching content of "thinking and discussion" column,it points out the promotion dimension of biological scientific thinking in each chapter,analyzes the scientific thinking methods contained in the content of "thinking and discussion" column,and supplements and improves the biological background knowledge materials.Using the method of investigation and research,a questionnaire survey and interviews with teachers are undertaken to,analyze the problems and influencing factors in the cultivation of students' scientific thinking in the current "thinking and discussion" column.Finally,the teaching experiment method is adopted to apply the "thinking and discussion"column to cultivate students' scientific thinking teaching mode.Two classes are used to with different teaching modes,and the "thinking and discussion" column from Chapter 4 to Chapter 5 of compulsory one is used as the learning content.The empirical research shows that the situational and inquiry teaching mode of "thinking and discussion" column is helpful to the cultivation of students' scientific thinking.
