Biological core literacy is the core teaching objective in the teaching process of biology subject.This study carried out the content analysis and teaching status investigation of the "Thinking and Discussion" column of the biology textbook based on biological core literacy in Tianjin urban area,and put forward countermeasures.To elucidate the value and significance of this research,the concept of core literacy is first defined through literature research,and the development background and research status of the "Thinking and Discourse" column at home and abroad are then sorted out.Subsequently,the "Thinking and Discussion" column in the human education edition biology textbook is subjected to content analysis to assess its content,amount,distribution,categorization,purpose,and features.Through inquiry and exploration,questionnaires and interviews were conducted with educators and pupils in Tianjin’s urban districts to evaluate the current utilization of the "Thinking and Discussion" column and the penetration of fundamental biological literacy,and to amalgamate the existing issues and influencing elements in the implementation of."Thinking and Discussion" column at the present stage.This paper puts forward the countermeasure research on the problems in column teaching implementation.The results are as follows:Survey results and interviews revealed that the majority of educators possess a considerable understanding of core literacy and pay close attention to and apply the "Thinking and discussion" column.Acknowledging the educational benefit of the "Thinking and Discussion" column,they actively infiltrate discipline literacy in the "thinking and discussion" column.However,there are still some problems to be solved in the teaching process of the "Thinking and Discussion" column:(1)The after-class evaluation system needs to be further perfected and improved;(2)Teachers’ penetration of core literacy in the "Thinking and Discussion" column teaching is not enough;(3)The diversified teaching methods of teachers dealing with thinking and discussion columns need to be strengthened.This paper proposes countermeasures to the thinking and discussion column teaching,which is under the direction of core literacy,based on the survey results and the cultivation of biological core literacy and the enhancement of the teaching effect.(1)Enhance the comprehension of teachers’ teaching evaluation reform,sharpen their focus on teaching effect through specialized instruction of teaching evaluation reform,and contemplate the impact of teaching implementation from the viewpoint of students;(2)Update teachers’ teaching concepts,attach importance to teaching materials,keep up with the curriculum standards,advocate for teachers to make students realize the importance of teaching materials in the teaching process,and pay attention to the study of the "thinking and discussion" column.;(3)To learn advanced teaching methods,teachers need to constantly learn and master modern teaching methods.(4)Improve the diversity of classroom teaching strategies.Finally,combined with the requirements of the curriculum standard and the research results,this paper proposes teaching countermeasures based on several typical "Thinking and Discussion" columns,designs to strengthen students’ attention to "Thinking and Discussion" columns,and helps teachers make efficient use of this column and the teaching cases penetrating core qualities.
