The new curriculum standard clearly states "actively develop local art curriculum resources-local art curriculum resources are very rich and local art teaching and research institutions,researchers and teachers should make efforts to do a good job in developing them,and schools in rural areas,remote areas and ethnic minority areas can make full use of various local resources to carry out art activities with characteristics according to local conditions." This shows that the new standards,in terms of policy,emphasise the importance of the development of local art curriculum resources and call on researchers and teachers in all regions to make full use of local resources to develop art activities with special characteristics.Local resources are rich in cultural and historical significance,and the aesthetic components they imply are unique and of great artistic value,and should become an important curriculum resource for school education.The rational use of local resources is in line with the trend of national curriculum reform,and can effectively make up for the shortcomings in the national art curriculum,while also adapting to the needs of different students’ growth.As a traditional art,egg carving has a long history and is a reflection of the spiritual culture of material life,and has been selected as a national intangible cultural heritage project.By introducing the art of egg carving in the art curriculum of Tongcheng Middle School,students can not only satisfy their interest,but also learn more about the art of Tongcheng’s native culture,appreciate the value of local art,improve their appreciation of local art,and promote this long-standing traditional art.This paper therefore takes Tongcheng Secondary School as an example to teach the art of egg carving.In addition to the introduction,the paper is divided into five parts:Part 1,an overview of the art of egg carving and its current development.Part 2,the significance of the introduction of egg carving into the junior high school art curriculum,that is,the value of egg carving itself,mainly cultural value,artistic value and curriculum value.Part 3,the analysis of the introduction of egg carving art in junior high school art teaching,is based on the analysis of teacher and student questionnaires.This paper discusses the shortcomings in the implementation of egg carving art teaching,so as to advance teaching.Part 4,Strategies and case studies for the introduction of egg carving art into junior high school art teaching.Designing a curriculum introduction teaching programme for egg carving art and designing an egg carving art teaching design.Part 5,Reflections on teaching egg carving art lessons.Based on the specific circumstances in which the teacher’s teaching and the students’ practical activities took place,the results of the teaching practice are summarised,and problems are promptly identified and appropriate strategies for solving them are discussed to improve teaching effectiveness.We hope to bring the art of egg carving into the art classroom of Tongcheng City Secondary School,to enhance students’ interest in art learning,to improve students’ knowledge of egg carving,and to provide some reference and experience for the introduction of local art curriculum resources in junior high school art teaching.
