With the successful holding of the 2022 Winter Olympics,China’s ice and snow sports boom has reached an unprecedented peak, and China’s ice and snow events have entered a new era of rapid development,Curling comes into people’s sight again. The Chinese women’s curling team is a powerful team in the world. It has won the champion of the Jiangling World Championships and the third place of the Vancouver Olympic Games.Compared with the traditional strong teams in Europe and the United States,China’s curling athletes have certain advantages in mastering the pitcher technique and can be more active in implementing tactics. However, there is a gap in the ice-sweep ability compared with the strong teams in Europe and the United States, which has affected the performance of China’s curling to a certain extent. This reflects the misunderstanding that China’s curling training attaches importance to the technical and tactical training while ignoring the physical training, and there are few targeted physical training means. In recent years, compound training has attracted more and more attention from professional physical trainers.Through the combination of traditional strength training and enhanced training, this training utilizes the post-activation enhancement effect and the lengthening-shortening cycle to simultaneously improve the absolute strength and explosive power level of athletes. In order to explore the impact of compound training on curling athletes’ ice-sweep ability, this paper consulted experts in curling and sports training through the methods of literature, expert interview,Delphi, experiment, and mathematical statistics.According to the evaluation opinions of experts,a set of special training methods for curling athletes’ strength quality and ice-sweep ability was developed,Then take the curling team athletes of Weiyu Sports School in Xuhui District of Shanghai as the experimental object, divide 30 athletes into two groups with the same level, and conduct a 12-week training. The experimental group used compound training, while the control group used traditional strength training. After 12 weeks of training, the strength quality and ice-sweep ability of the two groups of athletes were tested. The results showed that the strength quality and ice-sweep ability of the experimental group of curling athletes were significantly improved, especially in the mean and peak value of the push-pull pressure and ice-sweep frequency during the ice-sweep process. Then the following conclusions are drawn:1.According to the experts’ suggestions, combined with the age characteristics and project characteristics of young curling athletes, narrow barbell horizontal push,self-weight narrow horizontal pull, and hexagonal barbell hard pull are used as indicators to evaluate the strength quality of young curling athletes.2.Through expert selection, combined with the current situation of the strength and quality of the young curling athletes in the Weiyu Sports School,12 actions such as the upper limb quick vibration lever, the one-leg side push and the explosive push-up were selected as the advanced training actions to improve the special ice-sweep ability.3.The total load of compound training in a single training is lower than that of traditional strength training, and the training effect is better than that of traditional strength training, indicating that the compound training effect is more efficient and more suitable as a means for young athletes to improve their strength quality.
