| Geography has comprehensive and regional characteristics,which can’t be replaced by other disciplines.The study of geography learning motivation is the demand of the development and reform of basic education curriculum,and also the realistic demand of geography teaching.According to the present situation of junior middle school students’ geography learning motivation,studying the influencing factors of junior middle school students’ geography learning motivation and putting forward corresponding countermeasures can suit the right medicine,enhance junior middle school students’ interest in geography learning,help teachers improve the efficiency of geography classroom and carry out more effective teaching activities.On the basis of the research status and achievements of geography learning motivation at home and abroad,combined with the practice of online teaching in Shenzhen in recent years,the teachers and students of Xin ’an Middle School(Group)Junior High School were selected as the main research objects,and 239 students in this school were investigated with the Questionnaire of Geography Learning Motivation for Junior High School Students.SPSS was used to make statistical analysis on the survey results of junior high school students’ geography learning motivation,and various methods such as interview,classroom observation and case analysis were used to supplement them.The findings are as follows:(1)The overall level of junior high school students’ motivation for geography learning is high,and there are some differences in motivation from four levels: self-cognition,applying what they have learned,lofty ideals and pursuing glory,among which the internal motivation is higher than the external motivation,and the self-cognition level is the highest;(2)The differences of junior middle school students’ geography learning motivation are not significant in different genders,but except for self-cognition,the individual differences of geography learning motivation in grade seven are larger than those in grade eight;(3)There is a significant positive correlation among all levels of geography learning motivation,and the motivation among all levels influences and promotes each other.Among them,the motivation of self-cognition and lofty ideal level is more significantly correlated with other motivation levels;(4)The main factors that influence junior middle school students’ learning motivation of geography include personal interest,self-cognition,attribution of learning results,textbooks,teaching methods,environmental impact,daily use,etc.,all of which have significant positive correlation.According to the research findings,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed:(1)Students:(1)Seriously reflect on themselves and make scientific and reasonable attribution;(2)Cultivate students’ interest in learning geography in practice and improve their learning ability.(2)Teachers:(1)To stimulate students’ thirst for knowledge and cultivate students’ interest in geography in various ways;(2)Enrich geography teaching methods and optimize geography classroom;(3)Renew the teaching concept and innovate the geography teaching mode;(4)Pay attention to students’ individual differences and motivate students in different ways;(5)Create a good atmosphere for learning geography and promote students’ interest in learning geography.(3)Parents: Pay more attention to geography study and create a good family learning atmosphere.(4)School:(1)Focus on the training of teachers;(2)Make good use of geography classrooms to provide a good platform for students to learn geography;(3)Organize more corresponding geography learning activities.On the basis of the original research,aiming at the development of information-based education courses promoted by the online teaching of " keep learning during class suspension " in Shenzhen,this study made a supplementary survey on junior high school students’ online geography learning from the perspective of online teaching,and put forward some specific countermeasures and suggestions to improve the level of junior high school students’ geography learning motivation.However,due to the limitation of time and economy,the sample size is small,and the research results have certain limitations. |
