At present,the focus of geography teaching activities has gradually changed to how to learn instead of how to teach geography teachers,and students have become the main body of teaching activities.In this kind of environment,the importance of junior middle school geography study enthusiasm is more prominent,the influencing factors are family environment,school management,the college entrance examination system,among which the teaching behavior of geography teachers is very important.Based on the classification of teachers ’teaching behavior by Xiazhifang and Professor Li,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the teaching behavior of junior middle school geography teachers from six aspects: basic situation,explanation behavior,question behavior,discussion guidance behavior,presentation behavior and summary behavior,using questionnaire survey,case analysis and experience summary.The motivation of teachers needs to be improved;During the teaching process,preference tendentiousness is obvious.The way of explanation is simple,ignoring the cultivation of students ’thinking.Low quality of classroom interaction;Class discussions are formal;The teaching media is too monolithic;The results are not satisfactory.In view of the problems existing in teaching behavior of junior middle school geography teachers,this paper puts forward the strategy of optimizing teaching behavior of junior middle school geography teachers: Cultivating teachers ’professional knowledge accomplishment;To improve teachers ’classroom teaching enthusiasm;To set up the teaching concept based on life;The teaching language is both accurate and interesting.Optimize classroom presentation;Carefully designing classroom questions;Scientific guidance of student discussions;Use multiple media wisely.Finally,the author applies the strategy of optimizing teaching behavior to teaching practice,and finds that the students ’geographylearning achievement and geography learning enthusiasm have been improved significantly,which shows that the strategy of optimizing teaching behavior of geography teachers is effective and feasible.
