After modern information technology has been widely used in people’s life,it has a place in today’s society.In places where education is more developed,the use of information technology for mathematics teaching is quite mature,but in the minority areas of Xinjiang,there is little research on the subject because the education level is relatively low.Taking the middle school in Tacheng area of Xinjiang as an example,combined with a large number of literature and relevant cases,the practice of mathematics teaching in middle schools in ethnic minority areas in China is discussed.In this study,we investigated the mental health status of college students using a variety of survey methods,such as the literature method,the questionnaire survey method,and the interview method.This paper explores the practice of integrating mathematics teaching with information technology in secondary schools in minority areas of our region,taking the secondary schools in Tacheng region of Xinjiang as an example and combining a large amount of literature with relevant cases.In this study,various investigation methods such as literature method,questionnaire method and interview method were used to investigate the ability of teachers and students in applying information technology in high schools in our region.Through the investigation at three levels: students,teachers,and society and school,problems in the teaching of mathematics in secondary schools in our region were identified and attribution analysis was conducted.The results showed that due to the learning environment and ethnic composition,high school students performed poorly in the national language ability,and were constrained by economic and family conditions,which led to low learning ability,low motivation,and poor IT literacy;secondary school mathematics teachers in ethnic minority areas,due to their own weak learning ability,poor receptiveness,and lack of IT ability,led to the current high school mathematics teachers in our region have unclear role change,low motivation,low operational ability,low utilization of mathematics software,and low curriculum integration ability in information technology teaching;whether teachers’ teaching can be carried out smoothly requires strong support from the society and schools,while at the government level,teachers’ education and teaching work needs more attention and policy support.Based on the survey results,combined with literature,questionnaires and the results of interviews with high school mathematics teachers in our district on the application of IT in teaching,three improvement strategies were proposed to improve students’ IT quality and participation in classroom activities,improve mathematics teachers’ ability to apply IT and provide policy support,and optimize campus configuration.
