As a branch of chemical science,the history of chemistry records the arduous course of the development of chemical science,which has important cultural function and educational value.Chemical history education can effectively impart relevant historical knowledge to students while students learn chemical knowledge,cultivate core chemical literacy and scientific literacy of the students.Chemical history knowledge related to China can effectively cultivate students’ patriotism and cultural self-confidence,it is an important way and necessary means to inherit China’s excellent traditional culture.In 2018,Chinese Education Ministry issued the chemistry curriculum standard for senior high schools(2017Edition),and the supporting new high school chemistry textbooks came into being,including three editions: People’s Education Press(2019 Edition),Shandong science and Technology Press(2019 Edition)and Jiangsu Education Press(2020 Edition).Five research methods have been used based on the three versions of compulsory teaching materials,establishing the analysis standard of this study according to the analysis scale of Leite and predecessors on the content of the history of Science in teaching materials,and carries out the research on the content of teaching materials and the investigation of the current situation of teaching,for providing different materials and ideas for the teaching activities of chemical history.The research content of this subject is divided into six parts: Chapter one,introduction,summarizes the research background,research purpose and significance,research methods and ideas.Chapter two,review,summarizes the research and relevant literature on the history of chemistry at home and abroad.Chapter there defines the theoretical basis of this research.Chapter four is the analysis and comparison of teaching materials.On the basis of the first three chapters,this paper analyzes and compares the content of chemical history in the three editions of high school chemistry compulsory textbooks according to the analysis scale,and draws relevant conclusions.Chapter five,application research,investigates and studies the current teaching situation of chemistry history in senior high school in the form of questionnaire and interview,draws relevant conclusions and designs teaching cases.Chapter six,suggestions and prospects,puts forward corresponding suggestions on the compilation of textbook chemical history and teachers’ chemical history teaching,and reflects on the shortcomings of this research and the prospect of relevant research in the future.Based on the analysis and comparison of the contents of chemical history in teaching materials,as well as the investigation and research on the current situation of the teaching of chemical history,the following conclusions are finally obtained,and on this basis,the following suggestions on the compilation of teaching materials and teacher teaching skills have been put forward.The arrangement and selection of the content of chemical history in the compulsory textbooks of people’s Education Edition,Shandong science and Technology Press and Jiangsu Education Press have their own advantages.They show different advantages in the selection and presentation of the content of chemical history.For example,the learning types of the chemical history content in the compulsory textbooks of People’s Education Press are more diverse,and the presentation position of the chemical history content in the compulsory textbooks of Shandong science and Technology Press is more comprehensive.Compared with the other two editions,the contents of chemical history in each chapter of the compulsory textbooks of Jiangsu Education Press are more evenly distributed and so on.The arrangement of the content of chemical history in the three editions also has common advantages,such as: the compilation of the content of chemical history is illustrated with text,which enhances the readability;Closely linked with scientific and Technological Development and social progress;The learning types of chemical history are rich and diverse.But,there are still some deficiencies,such as: the arrangement and presentation of scientists are too brief,involving fewer scientists in China,and there is only one female scientist;The content of chemical history is presented in a single way;The image of scientists has lost its personality and lacks scientific controversy.The compilation of chemical history textbook should:(1)Increase the scientific research and scientific achievements of Chinese scientists and female scientists;(2)Present the real image of scientists and enrich the background of scientists;(3)The history of Chemistry presents diversified forms,reflecting the multiple teaching functions of the history of chemistry;(4)Appropriately increase the disputes between schools or scientific disputes in history.Teachers should:(1)Attach importance to the education of chemical history;(2)Pay attention to the dissemination of Chinese traditional culture and the education of patriotism;(3)Improve their chemical history literacy. |
