| The history of chemistry is not only the accumulation of human exploration and practice in the process of social development from ancient times to the present,but also a record of the excellent qualities and personality charm of chemists who were brave in practice,truth-seeking,and dedication.Studying the history of chemistry can both understand the development process of chemistry,and understand the scientific spirit it contains.Therefore,the study of the history of chemistry has a profound impact on the optimization and reform of the curriculum,the development of textbooks and the improvement of teachers’ teaching strategies,as well as the overall development of students.The study selected the new edition of ordinary high school chemistry textbooks from China and Tokyo textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education,Culture,Science and Technology from Japan as the research objects.Statistical analysis method,comparative analysis method and case analysis method were used to conduct detailed statistics and comparative studies on the number of chemical history in Chinese and Japanese high school chemistry textbooks from the two dimensions of chemical history content and chemical history presentation.The study found that the textbooks of the two countries have their own characteristics in the selection and presentation of chemical history content,and each has its own advantages.The large number of chemical history selected in the textbook from China shows a wealth of chemical history content.The diverse presentation of the history of chemistry section,which can integrate and expand the history of chemistry in the teaching process better,is conducive to improving students’ interest in reading.The materials closed to life,which are told in the form of stories,are easy to understand,and can also stimulate students’ interest in learning.The description of the history of chemistry in Japanese textbooks is detailed and comprehensive,which is conducive to students’ grasp and understanding.The history of chemistry is reflected in the main text richly,and the embodiment of the history of chemistry is paid attention to in the main part,reflecting the affirmation of the value of education.The history of chemistry is illustrated,vivid,easy to understand,and enhances readability.Based on the above research conclusions,the teaching design,which is with the theme of integrating the history of chemistry,is carried out.Eventually,the relevant suggestions are given for textbook writing and teacher teaching.Recommendations for textbook development: add detailed descriptions of scientists;increase the introduction of chemical history and scientists in China;attention should be paid to the spirit of questioning and the spirit of exploration in the history of chemistry;add the presentation of the history of chemistry content in the exercises.Suggestions for teachers: pay attention to the important role and significance of the history of chemistry in the teaching of chemistry;study each module and column in the textbook carefully;adequate development of relevant chemical history content in textbooks;the historical content of chemistry and other disciplines can be appropriately integrated during the teaching. |
