Folk games are valuable curriculum resources for kindergartens,which are close to children’s life.It’s one of the popular entertainment methods for children,with great potential for exploitation.The integration of folk games with the development of kindergarten-based curriculum has important educational value,It can better promote the physical and mental development of children.This study takes kindergarten A as the case study object,and investigates the current situation of the development of kindergarten A’s folk game garden-based curriculum.Firstly,the researcher used questionnaire and interview method to investigate the principal,teachers and parents of the kindergarten-based curriculum development to collect folk games and understand their perceptions about the kindergarten-based curriculum.Secondly,the researcher participated in the activities of the folk game garden-based curriculum in the field and observed the activities of teachers and children in the process of the development of the garden-based curriculum.Through a combination of observation,interview and questionnaire methods,the research status was elaborated in four aspects: goal setting,content selection,implementation and evaluation system of the garden-based curriculum development.Based on the current situation of folk game garden-based curriculum development in kindergarten A,the research found that there are shortcomings in the process of folk game garden-based curriculum development in kindergarten A: the lack of specificity and appropriateness of garden-based curriculum goals,the selection of garden-based curriculum contents to be integrated,the implementation of garden-based curriculum in a single way,and the imperfect evaluation system of garden-based curriculum.The researcher found the deep-seated reasons behind the problems in the development of the folk game garden-based curriculum in kindergarten A by reviewing the literature,mainly from the following six aspects: lack of a clear purpose and philosophy of running the kindergarten,one-sided understanding of the development of the folk game garden-based curriculum,lack of management system of the folk game garden-based curriculum,low enthusiasm of teachers to participate in the development of the folk game garden-based curriculum,and teachers’ The teachers’ ability to develop folk games garden-based curriculum is lacking,and the resources of folk games garden-based curriculum are not sufficiently developed.In order to better promote the development of kindergarten folk game garden-based curriculum,combining the above reasons,the researcher tries to put forward countermeasures for improvement in six aspects: establishing a clear purpose and philosophy of running kindergarten,deepening the understanding of the connotation of folk game garden-based curriculum development,establishing a democratic and scientific management system of folk game garden-based curriculum,encouraging teachers to actively participate in folk game garden-based curriculum development,improving teachers’ ability of folk game garden-based curriculum development,and optimizing kindergarten folk game garden-based curriculum development.We encourage teachers to participate in the development of folk game garden-based curriculum,improve their ability to develop folk game garden-based curriculum,and optimize the development and utilization of kindergarten folk game garden-based curriculum resources.
