This is a case study about the development of local folk kindergarten-based curriculum.Based on the literature review,this study uses comprehensively the methods of interview,on-site observation and object(case)analysis to investigate the current situation of Kindergarten-based Curriculum in M kindergarten.During the field survey of kindergarten,the author conducted formal interviews with relevant teachers and directors,investigated teachers’ curriculum implementation and the creation of kindergarten environment.It has combined with the analysis of real objects(cases),studied systematically the overall situation of kindergarten-based curriculum development.On this basis,this section summarized that it has conclued the beneficial experience and shortcomings of the development of kindergarten-based curriculum,and it puts forward accordingly the suggestions.The thesis includes as follows.The first part of the thesis is the introduction,which describes the reasons of the research.It explains the purposes,significance,content and methods of the research as well as defines the concepts.To get summaried that the literatures at home and abroad relevant.The second part combined with the local folk resources of Daye from diet and crafts,folk festivals,places of interests,folktale and ballads,sports.Meanwhile,explaining the suitability and value of integrating these resources into early childhood education.The third part of the thesis studies systematically the current situation of M kindergarten curriculum development.It is found that the curriculum development of M kindergarten has accumulated some beneficial,which is manifested in the following aspects: teachers’ strong curriculum development awareness and high support,comprehensive curriculum content and timely strengthen achievements,diversified curriculum implementation forms and appropriate teaching methods,clear curriculum development process and strong guarantee.However,there are also some shortages,which are reflected in the low level of teachers’ specialization andincomplete curriculum cognition,lack of accuracy of curriculum objectives,lack of regional characteristics of curriculum content,lack of dynamic and balance of curriculum implementation,lack of process and standard of curriculum evaluation,lack of awareness of curriculum management and nonstandard system.In the fourth part,improved opinions are suggested for the shortages.Firstly,the kindergarten should strengthen the top-level design and the teachers should deepen their curriculum cognition.Then it should understand the purpose of the course and make the goal close to the reality of children and select accurately content,highlighting regional folk characteristics.Next,it should pay attention to strengthen the implementation of curriculum and insist on the unity of balance and dynamic.Moreover,how to construct the standards scientifically and improve the pertinence of the evaluation are also very important.Lastly,it also needs to improve management system to ensure the effectiveness of curriculum management.
