In order to nurturing more innovative talents,Maker Education,With an explosive development from 2015,has been prevalent in primary and secondary schools around the country.The construction of maker space and the establishment of maker associations are undoubtedly the products of maker education,which can be used by makers to give play to their creativity and realize their ideas.As an intern teacher,I came to a middle school in Weiyang District,Shaanxi Province.In the practice of observing,exchanging and experiencing the teaching activities of maker community,the author found the following problems:First,although the community gave students free time and space to play,most of the maker curriculum content selection is facing the needs of real competition,such as programming competition,robot competition,etc.Second,giving priority to impart knowledge and imitation,the enthusiasm of students is not very high.Third,in the completion of maker works,the integrity of group cooperation to complete the works is not high cause of the halfway endeavor,which is opposite to train the core ability of students’ creativity and attainment.In allusion to these problems,the author,after browsing numerous literature books and relevant cases,found that the teaching activities of maker associations involve a wide range of contents,multiple carriers,and the hardware&software of open source function have become the first choice for most schools,which can not only save money,but also help to enhance students’ creativity.Then,starting with design thinking and open source hardware,we understand the relevant status quo.and design a framework for junior Maker teaching activity though the carrier of control board,and two series of control board programming coursers,including basic and advanced version aimed to train students’ designing intellection and improve innovation creativity after investigation.And we also carried out research around three rounds through innovative electronic project works,by literature document,survey,observation and interview,finally,the effect of this design thinking based teaching activity of master board maker in junior high school was analyzed through Williams’ pre and post creativity measurement form,evaluation form,student learning attitude questionnaire and interview records.The result turns that students are approved with the maker course for design thinking,and they have significant differences in curiosity,imagination,challenge and adventure,and their innovation and practice ability have also been improved.In addition,students have a better grasp and understanding of knowledge,a higher degree of participation in the classroom,and their ability to cooperate,communicate,solve problems and analyze needs has been strengthened.The bright spots in this research is to design and implement the teaching activities of junior high school creators based on the design thinking and the mind+software platform,which is the first open source hardware control board designed for programming education in China.This is of great significance to the cultivation of the core literacy of the elementary education students.In the aspect of open source hardware,especially the control board teaching,it provides the relevant reference for the development of students’ design thinking,and provides new ideas for the development of the creative teaching activities in primary and secondary schools at present,and makes a great contribution to the exploration of innovation education reform in China. |
