With the progress of the digital age,the importance of cultivation of innovative talents is becoming increasingly prominent.Design thinking is the process of using creativity purposefully,is the effective way to achieve innovation,and is the necessary accomplishment of creative talents.At the same time,the training of innovative talents as the goal of science and innovation education has gradually become a common understanding,high school open source hardware teaching as one of the applications of science and innovation education,and design thinking of the concept of training coincides.Therefore,open source hardware teaching in high school provides a new way for the cultivation of design thinking.In order to change the current teaching situation of open source hardware teaching which emphasizes operation and neglects thinking,and solve the problem of how to cultivate students’ design thinking by using open source hardware teaching in high school,this study focuses on the level of teaching activities and takes the EDIPT model of design thinking as the basis to construct the framework of open source hardware teaching activities oriented to the cultivation of design thinking in senior high school.With the analysis of the related references,it makes use of literature research method,case study method and survey research method to design teaching cases and select two classes of grade one and grade two in S province G middle school to carry out the teaching implementation and effect research.It is expected to provide a teaching case for the cultivation of design thinking and the development of open source hardware teaching in senior high school.The research results and conclusions are as follows:(1)The framework of open source hardware teaching activities oriented to the cultivation of design thinking is constructed.The framework includes two aspects:teacher’s activities and student’s activities,which focus on student’s activities,including five links: perception of situation,abstract definition,creative conception,prototype making,reflection and optimization.The corresponding activities of teachers include situation elicitation,challenge,standard setting,support guidance and summary evaluation.(2)This paper designs an open source hardware teaching case for the cultivation of design thinking in senior high school.The design of teaching cases covers the contents of five modules,which is based on the using of the framework of teaching activities.In this study,three advanced typical teaching cases,namely,"Smart campus is brighter","Smart campus is cleaner" and "Smart Campus is safer",are adopted to embody the concrete implementation process of teaching.The three cases belong to three modules respectively,and their degrees of difficulty and complexity are correspond to the characteristics of students’ cognitive development.(3)The implementation of open source hardware teaching oriented to the cultivation of design thinking in senior high school was carried out.This study chooses G middle school in S province as the implementation school and 74 students from two classes of grade one and grade two as the object of a one-term teaching practice.At the end of the teaching,the paper analyzes the data of students’ Project Log Design,work evaluation,teachers and students’ interview,pre-and post-test questionnaire,and finds that the students’ design thinking tendency level has been improved.
