The "14th Five-Year Plan for National Informatization" issued by the Central Committee for Cybersecurity and Informatization in December 2021 pointed out that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, informatization will enter a new stage of accelerating digital development and building a digital China.Currently, new economic forms represented by artificial intelligence, mobile internet, industrial internet, cloud computing, big data, and smart cities are developing rapidly. The software industry is a fundamental and strategic industry for information and information society, and it has continued to grow rapidly in recent years. However, the complexity and uncertainty make it extremely difficult to control the progress of software projects, and project delays have become a common phenomenon.Through case studies,it was found that insufficient team motivation may be a key factor leading to project delays.Based on software project management practices and combined with management theory and human-centered approaches, this article starts from the practical problem of how to reduce the risk of software project delays.Firstly, through interviews with professionals who have rich experience in software project management,18 main factors causing software project delays were identified.Secondly, inspired by system theory, the Dematel decision-making laboratory method and the Interpretive Structural Modeling(ISM)were used to analyze the comprehensive influence and hierarchy of each factor in the system. Then, the motivation factor system of software professionals was summarized through literature analysis and expert opinions, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)combined with expert evaluation was used to determine the weight distribution of motivation factor indicators for software professionals. Finally, based on the factors causing software project delays and their respective weights, the motivation factors were transformed into a satisfaction index system to measure the degree of motivation, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to assess the motivation level of the software development team at FS company. The research indicates that, first, project management should strive to improve their own management capabilities, master software project management knowledge and skills proficiently, and apply them in practice.Secondly,as "insufficient team motivation" is one of the key factors leading to software project delays,in order to enhance the work enthusiasm of team members and reduce the risk of software project delays, managers should focus on four factors: "promoting the improvement of individual capabilities of project members," "enabling their abilities to be fully utilized," "providing competitive compensation," and "establishing a fair and reasonable performance evaluation system." They should develop more effective incentive measures to enhance the team’s motivation. At the same time, when formulating incentive plans, controllers should fully evaluate the motivation brought to team members by the two objective factors: "project value achievement" and "project business prospects" as well. |
