The Characteristics And Optimization Strategy Of Paralanguage Expressions Of TV Cultural Program Hosts

With the continuous progress of society and rapid economic development,the traditional media industry has achieved rapid transformation through continuous self-innovation and self-improvement.As an important part of TV programs,how to better reflect the function and role of the host in the program is a question that the host must think about.In television programs,the host expression in addition to the audible language,but also need to use paralanguage to the audience to transmit information,so the host needs to broaden the content of paralinguistic expression,in order to enrich the content and form of the program host expression.Paralanguage is an important means for presenters to express their feelings and disseminate information.Therefore,the host’s paralinguistic expressions should meet the current social development needs,meet the aesthetic needs of the audience,grasp the context of the program,and make artistic treatment of paralinguistic expressions to resonate with the audience.In TV programs,the host’s paralanguage has become one of the audiences’ concerns,so the host should always control his or her own paralinguistic expression in the program,not only to reflect the host’s personality characteristics,but also to harmonize with the program.This paper takes the graduation work "Ancient City Totem" as an example,analyzes the basic characteristics of the host’s paralanguage in TV cultural programs,lists the four characteristics of the host’s paralanguage in TV cultural programs according to the specific performance of the host’s paralanguage in the program,and proposes an optimization strategy for the host’s paralanguage expression in the current stage of TV cultural programs,which will be helpful and useful for the hosts of the same type of programs.
