Since the founding of New China, the training and education of farmers has been an important and arduous task. The No.1 document of the Central Committee has raised the cultivation of farmers to the level of national strategy, and then put forward higher requirements for the training of farmers.Shenyang Science and Technology Special Commissioner Demonstration Project "Young Farmers Go to University" training since 2004,uphold the training concept of "government funding, university training, farmers benefit",for cultivating a group of "literate, understand technology, good management, learn well, retain, useful" rural scientific and technological personnel has made a great contribution.By combing the research on the effectiveness evaluation of farmer training, this research summarizes the emergence of farmer training, the main forms of farmer training and the effectiveness of farmer training according to the research literature of domestic and foreign scholars. In combination with the relevant domestic and foreign studies referred to,Koch four-level evaluation model and quasi-experimental method were selected as the theoretical model and research method of this study.Based on the Koch four-level model, the index system of the effectiveness of farmer training was established and questionnaires were designed, and the differences between farmers who participated in the training and those who did not participate in the training were compared with the quasi-experimental method.Collect data, questionnaire and interview data from the training course of "Young Farmers Go to College" of Shenyang Science and Technology Commissioners Demonstration Project for more than ten years, and collate the data, describe the basic characteristics of the samples, analyze the individual characteristics of farmers who participate in the training and those who do not participate in the training and their impact on the effectiveness of the training process.Make a descriptive analysis step by step according to the four levels of Kirkberg, and calculate the average score of each level.Find out more about the overall effectiveness of training. The quasi-experimental method was used to design the experiment, setting the farmers who participated in the training as the experimental group and the farmers who did not participate in the training as the control group. The research hypothesis was established to compare the significant differences between the two groups in learning effect, learning quality, ability change, inner transformation, income, production efficiency, pest rate, access to government funding and business results.Differentiation analysis and independent sample T test were conducted. To explore the differences between the two groups,in order to verify the effectiveness of farmer training results. The study concludes that,by averaging scores at each level, students are ranked from highest to lowest in response, behavior, outcome, and learning. The training content, methods, subjects, teachers and other aspects are more satisfactory to the students; In terms of learning effect and learning quality, students’ acceptance of training content is relatively poor,so it is necessary to strengthen the initiative of students to learn and promote their ability to absorb knowledge.Participation in training makes farmers’ identity identification, inner satisfaction and pride more obvious, which can drive the improvement of students’ production capacity.Students need more time to combine the theoretical knowledge they have learned with practice to truly put what they have learned into practice.Among the individual characteristics of farmers participating in training, age, educational background, years engaged in agriculture and times of training have significant effects on the effectiveness of the training process, while the type of agricultural work has no significant effects on the effectiveness of the training process.Among the individual characteristics of farmers who did not participate in the training, educational background, type of agricultural work and whether they had participated in the training had significant effects on the effectiveness of the training process, while age and years of practice had no significant effects on the effectiveness of the training process.Quasi-experimental method verified that there were significant differences in learning effect, learning quality, ability change, inner transformation, income, production efficiency, pest rate, access to government funding and business results between the experimental group and the control group, further proving the effectiveness of this training program.Based on this research conclusion, some corresponding suggestions are put forward to set up courses at different levels to meet the needs of students,so as to further achieve the training purpose and reflect the training effect.Strengthen the learning effect and quality of training, stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm to the greatest extent, and let students master and apply new knowledge and technology in a more simple and understandable way;Strengthen technical support and financial subsidies and other feasible suggestions. |
