The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)puts forward new requirements in terms of curriculum objectives,curriculum content,and curriculum implementation,and emphasizes the need to teach language and characters in real language use situations to improve students’ core literacy in language use.However,the current vocabulary teaching is faced with problems such as vague definition of teaching content,rigid teaching methods,and single evaluation methods.Teachers’ unclear understanding of the focus of vocabulary teaching in primary and junior high schools leads to insufficient attention to junior high school vocabulary teaching.In addition,aiming at the current situation,this study analyzes the syllabus,Chinese curriculum standards and examination papers of middle schools in various provinces and cities over the years,determines the basic scope of vocabulary teaching content,and further clarifies the focus of vocabulary teaching in junior high school.Through literature research and case analysis,as well as interviews with front-line junior middle school Chinese teachers,supported by theoretical research and practical teaching experience,this study also summarizes the current problems faced by vocabulary teaching,mainly including teachers’ teaching cognition,teachers’ knowledge reserve,teaching content and methods,and teaching evaluation.Based on this,it puts forward strategies to optimize word teaching from the perspective of educators,teaching process and evaluation methods,emphasizing that teachers should pay full attention to word teaching and improve their own teaching level.Optimize teaching methods,enrich students’ language practice activities in real language application situations,guide students to feel Chinese excellent traditional culture in word teaching,and cultivate deep feelings for national common language;improve the evaluation mechanism and enrich the evaluation methods,and fully respect the dominant position of students in teaching.According to the reflection on the teaching,the study selects two texts of ’A Chang and Shan Hai Jing ’ and ’Tao Hua Yuan Ji ’.From the two aspects of modern Chinese reading teaching and classical Chinese teaching,this study designs word teaching designs based on the concept of new curriculum standard,with examples of modern text reading and the classical Chinese,and summarizes and reflects on the design as a whole.It implements the theory in practice through specific design.Besides,it puts forward new problems in practice to constantly improve the teaching of junior middle school Chinese words.
