As they get older, junior high school students also begin to enter the "stormy" adolescence, and the negative life events they face also increase, and these stressful events mainly focus on interpersonal relationships, study pressure, and so on.While inducing negative emotions, these negative life events not only have an impact on students’ lives, but also affect students’ perception of school adaptation, and then affect students’ physical and mental health growth. Therefore,it is important to study the relationship between negative life events, cognitive reassessment and school adaptation. In view of this, the study explores the relationship between negative life events, cognitive reappraisal and school adaptation, and develops a group counseling activity program with cognitive reassessment as the core, aiming to improve the cognitive reassessment ability of junior high school students through group counseling and improve the school adaptation of junior high school students. On the basis of previous research, the first study is a cross-sectional study,528students(265 boys and 263 girls)from a middle school in Leshan City of Sichuan Province were selected as the survey subjects, and three scales: "Adolescent Self-Assessment Life Event Scale","Emotion Regulation Scale" and "Junior High School Students’ School Adaptation Questionnaire" were used to explore the relationship between negative life events, cognitive reassessment and school adaptation perceived by junior high school students.Study 2 is an intervention study, and on the basis of the results of the relationship between the three in Study 1,following the principle of voluntariness, students with cognitive reassessment and school adaptation scores significantly lower than the average were selected as study participants,a total of 26 participants, and divided into experimental group and control group, the experimental group carried out group psychological counseling activities, the control group did not carry out any treatment, and all participants were analyzed anterior-to-posteriorly.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Negative life events were significantly and positively related to cognitive reappraisal;cognitive reappraisal was significantly and positively related to middle school students’ school adjustment;and negative life events were significantly and negatively related to school adjustment.(2)The cognitive reappraisal of junior high school students partially mediated the relationship between negative life events and school adjustment.(3)From the results of the intervention, group psychological counseling with cognitive reassessment as the theme is effective for cognitive reassessment of individuals who dare to reassess, and the intervention also explains how to improve the school adaptation of junior high school students. |
