Tennis is a popular course among students in public physical education courses in colleges and universities, but due to the high threshold for beginners, the traditional and single teaching method is often difficult to produce good teaching results in tennis classrooms based on skill transfer and practice. In this study, following the direction of curriculum reform, the team concept in Team-based learning(TBL)and the problem concept in Problem-based Learning(PBL)are integrated into the tennis teaching of public physical education courses in colleges and universities for theoretical construction, teaching content reconstruction based on PBL,classroom content reorganization based on TBL,classroom connection is realized, teaching design is formed and practical exploration is carried out.It aims to further improve and enrich the theory and practice of physical education teaching, and provide a new idea and new method for the current tennis teaching of public physical education courses in colleges and universities. In this study, the literature method, the quasi-experimental method, the questionnaire survey method and the mathematical statistics method were comprehensively used.Based on literature combing, referring to school-based textbooks, and using positive and backhand techniques as the main teaching content to form a teaching design,a 16-week teaching experiment was carried out at the China Academy of Art.There were 24 students in the experimental class and 24 in the control class, all of whom were boys; After the difference in the pre-test results was not significant, the TBL-PBL teaching mode was adopted for the experimental class, and the traditional teaching mode was adopted for the control class, and the single-blind method was used to strictly control the experiment.Test or investigate in terms of tennis technique, sports theory exams, physical fitness, sports learning interest and collaborative problem-solving skills. The obtained data were tested for difference between independent sample t-test,paired-sample t-test or nonparametric test, and the results showed that:(1)The overall score of the tennis skill level of the students in the experimental class was better than that of the control class. After the experiment, the test was carried out from three aspects: technical action evaluation,bottom-line hitting depth and bottom-line hitting accuracy, and the scores of students in the experimental class were significantly better than those in the control class, and the scores of stability and backhand hitting in the bottom-line hitting depth were significantly better than those of the control class. The stability of the bottom line hitting accuracy was significantly better than that of the control class, and the straight ball was better than the control class.(2)The improvement of students’ interest in physical education learning in the experimental class was better than that of the control class. The results of the difference test showed that the control class improved in the two dimensions of negativity and extracurricular activities, while the improvement of the experimental class in the four dimensions of enthusiasm, negativity, skill learning and extracurricular activities was better than that of the control class.(3)The improvement of students’ collaborative problem-solving ability in the experimental class was better than that of the control class. The results of the difference test showed that after 16 weeks of teaching experiments, the cooperative problem-solving ability of the students in the experimental class was significantly improved, while the improvement of the students in the control class was not obvious.(4)The difference in the results of the physical education theory test between the two classes is not significant; The difference in the improvement of physical fitness test scores between the two classes was not significant, but the comparison results before and after the experiment showed that the physical health level of the students in the two classes was improved./It is hoped that this research can bring certain enlightenment and reference to the teaching of tennis in public physical education classes in colleges and universities.
