With the advance of education information, educational technology ability has become necessary basic qualities for modern teacher. Normal students, as reserve forces of future teachers, need to have a higher educational technology ability to meet the needs of cultivating talents which the information society needs and take on the responsibility of tomorrow’s teachers. The establishment of the public course of educational technology in normal colleges has become main positions to cultivate teaching ability of normal students. In recent years, various levels and kinds of normal colleges increased enrollment of vocational institute to cultivate excellent teachers for the various types of vocational institutes. However, after reading a lot of related literatures and participating in practical teaching, I found that there are many deficiencies and shortcomings in this course. Problems in public courses of vocation-technical teachers college are almost same as which in public courses of normal university. So, the establishment of this course did not achieve good results in cultivating information technology capability of students. It is particularly important that how to solve these problems to promote the cultivation of educational technology ability of normal students in vocational college. According to the analysis, we believe that collaborative learning, to some extent, can solve many problems we encountered in public courses teaching and stimulate student motivation and improve teaching effectiveness effectively to achieve the basic goals of cultivating educational technology ability of normal students in vocational college.This paper is divided into six chapters: the first chapter is the introduction, in which I comprehensively expounded the research ideas and methods, research background and research contents. In the second chapter, I elaborated related theories, which are collaborative learning theory, vocational education theory, teachers ’ educational theory and instructional design theory. In the third chapter, I analyzed the advantages of cooperative learning in the public course of modern education technology and carried on investigation and analysis on the demands of collaborative learning. The fourth chapter is the key part of this research, in which I mainly conducted instructional design on project-based collaborative learning and problem-based collaborative learning respectively, and designed instructional model that is suitable for the public course of modern educational technology. In the fifth chapter, I applied the model into classroom teaching practice of educational technology public course in College of Engineering of Hunan Normal University. After a semester of observation, investigation and practice, I verified the effectiveness of collaborative learning in public courses. In the sixth chapter, I summarized the whole research and pointed out the shortcomings and the innovations of this paper, and putted forward further research work.
