With the rapid development of smart phone functions, mobile phone has become an important tool for people to keep their hands on.It is not only carrying communication functions, but also meeting the diversified needs of users for learning, entertainment and social interaction. Many people often keep their phones on their hands, making mobile phone dependence become a common problem in today’s society. For high school students, they are in the stage of rapid physical and mental development, and also the stage of loneliness and other negative emotions frequently.Studies have shown that mobile phone dependence,as an addiction phenomenon,is caused by the individual’s escape, compensation and modification of negative emotions, while loneliness,as a negative emotion,is common among teenagers.Affected by loneliness, teenagers’ social ability declines,so they may choose to spend more time on mobile phones to escape this fact. But there is little research on how loneliness affects adolescents’ phone dependence. In addition,in the intervention study on mobile phone dependence,it is found that when individuals need to mobilize resources for self-regulation but have no power,it is more difficult to resist temptation, which is manifested in the consequences of using mobile phone for too long time and too high frequency.Based on this,it is worth exploring the role of self-regulation in adolescents’ loneliness and mobile phone dependence. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the relationship between loneliness and mobile phone dependence of high school students and the intervention effect of self-regulation,and to explore the psychological mechanism. There are two studies in this paper:In the first study,352 students from a high school in Shanghai were randomly sampled to study the overall situation of loneliness among high school students and its relationship with self-regulation ability and mobile phone dependence. On the basis of study 1,20 subjects with the top 27% of total scores of mobile phone dependence were randomly selected and divided into two groups with 10 participants in each group. The experimental group received a self-designed group counseling program for 8 weeks, while the control group did not receive any treatment. After the group counseling, the self-regulation ability and mobile phone dependence degree of the experimental group and the control group were measured and compared before and after,so as to investigate the mechanism of the self-designed group counseling program on selfregulation and mobile phone dependence. The study reached the following conclusions:(1)High school students’ loneliness is positively correlated with mobile phone dependence; It was negatively correlated with self-regulation.Self-regulation was negatively correlated with mobile phone dependence.(2)Self-regulation plays a mediating role in the relationship between loneliness and mobile phone dependence among high school students.(3)After the self-regulation group assisted intervention, the self-regulation ability was significantly improved, and the degree of mobile phone dependence was significantly reduced. |
