| Since Reform and Opening up,the economy develops rapidly in China,the number of working-class and dual-earner families in cities increases,and the "4:30problem" in primary schools is highlighted gradually.Shenzhen launched a pilot program of "4:30 Activity" after-school services in primary and secondary schools in2015.Driven by national policies,Shenzhen fully carried out after-school services in primary schools in autumn of 2021.The author use the literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,this thesis investigated the problems existing in the development of after-school services in Shenzhen public primary schools,analyzed the root causes of the problems and gave scientific and reasonable suggestions for optimization.The study selected 6public primary schools in Shenzhen for investigation.From six aspects of after-school service content,service time,funding source,teacher security,home-school cooperation,supervision and evaluation,combined with relevant policies and high-quality literature,questionnaires for parents and teachers were compiled.Different subjects related to after-school services,including principals,principals,teachers,parents,students,etc.were interviewed.The status quo and existing problems of after-school services in 6 public primary schools in Shenzhen were learned,and the optimization strategies to solve these problems were put forward.After the investigation and analysis of six public primary schools’ after-school services,it is concluded that Shenzhen’s public primary schools’ after-school services fund sources are relatively simple,teachers’ internal motivation to participate in after-school services is insufficient,after-school service quality lacks necessary supervision and evaluation system,and there is a lack of home-school co-parenting service projects.This is mainly due to the imperfect legislative guarantee of after-school service,the unclear responsibilities of relevant stakeholders,and the incomplete supporting facilities of after-school service.Therefore,from the perspective of quasi-public product theory,multiple intelligences theory and collaborative education theory,the author starts from the following aspects:expanding the funding sources of after-school service projects,improving the service position of teachers,perfecting the quality evaluation mechanism,and constructing the collaborative education system of "home-school community".This paper proposes optimization strategies to effectively solve the problem of after-school services in Shenzhen’s public primary schools,so as to give full play to the role of after-school services in improving the quality of education and promoting economic growth. |
